Very poor service
My party of 7 flew from Dublin to Auckland via Chicago and had a nightmare experience.
The flight into Auckland was late and our bags never left Chicago.
As a consequence we missed our connecting flight to Napier and had to hand around the airport on standby tickets … in the end our group was split and we were on different flights across 8hrs waiting time in Airport.
Our bags did not arrive in Napier until 4 days later.
We had no response from NZ air on any of our queries- extremely poor customer service.
And again on flying back to Auckland from Queenstown 2 of our bags are damaged.
Our flight back to Dublin has been changed we now flew via LA so we have later flight and longer stop over in LA for our flight to Dublin.
My original seats - which I paid €1000 extra for are not available and I cannot get to talk to any airline rep about a refund.
Not happy with NZ Air
One thing I will say is that the NZ Air ground staff in the domestic terminal were very helpful in assisting us get from Auckland to Napier.
We are not looking forward to the return journey on Wednesday.

Unusable!!!
For some reason Air New Zealand have paired Ireland with the UK. So the app will only default to British pounds when looking for prices. I can’t change it to Europe. It has to be in a currency we’ve never used.
