Very happy
Air NZ was great today. Both flights on time and food on SYD/AKL very tasty and good.
Plus my bag arrived with me — which was not the case the last twice I have flown with them when my bag was lost for a couple of days.
No complaints at all today.

This app has been very useful in preparing for an Air New Zealand flight

a man who’s in customer service in New Zealand airport was very unfriendly. He spoke in a rude tone to me, when I saw him spoke to another customer nicely, who was a westerner and i am asian. I queued in the wrong line after self check-in. And he called me in a rude tone that I was in the wrong line with an unfriendly look. “What are you doing at here? You have your boarding pass and what are you doing at here?” that's what he told me. He can use a polite way to convey. It seemed like he didn't know how to do customer service regardless of ethnicity and race. My first booking a few weeks earlier was for a flight time of 16.20 but I changed the flight to 11.05 in order to arrive earlier at my destination and I paid an additional fee of AU$40.11 for changing flight time. In the end, on the departure day, the flight was delayed for more than 3 hours. Very disappointing. The flight was delayed for 3 hours 25 minutes without any compensation. 3 hours 25 minutes trip without any food/snack. Even from Sydney to Melbourne, which only takes more than 1 hour to fly, you still get snacks, not worth the cost of your flight ticket.

The app tells me to check in online. When I go to do that, it tells me online checkin has closed. It’s a very unsatisfactory user experience.

To get hold of a human is all but impossible. Was on hold for over 40minutes before a human answered. Felt sorry for the lady on the phone as she did not create this mess. When discussing issues with flight staff I got not their department and have to make contact with Airpoints directly. Should have hotline at entrance of going into these places and also seats to sit while waiting. No email address to wrote but forced to apps that customers does have. Lots or room for improvement
They used to be excellent
So far this trip we have had a flight cancelled shortening our holiday without any compensation whatsoever and only got replacement flights because we acted so quickly and didn’t wait for them. In the process we lost our exit seats (that we had paid for) and today we lost them again for our return flight back. At 6’3 this matters. They have been our go to airline forever because they used to care.

So I open the app I login and I proceeded to purchase a ticket. Once I've chosen the flight I'm offered travel insurance so I think okay i'll have a look. Big mistake as soon as you choose another option you get kicked out of the purchase process and you have to start again. Just login, purchase your ticket and keep your fingers away from any other offers otherwise you'll end up in an endless loop
