Hi,
I got as far installing this app as the screen that says ‘enable notifications’
That what it says. It needs me to push this button before I can get into the app. I don’t want to enable notifications. I know I can go into my phone settings afterwards and change it (probably) but I don’t usually get bullied by apps I install so I instead I just stopped installing this one.
It seems like such a small thing but did all the developers think ‘we need to remind them to turn on notifications’ ? No one in the room was like ‘why not give them the choice??’
The update notes alone are worth a star
To be truthful, we’ve thrown our lot in with a competitor, but Asana was in the running. I know people who use it, and it’s a good product. I wrote this because you don’t often find companies putting energy into as small an item as their mobile app update notes, which shows a level of care for even the little things! That’s important.
Unfortunate
This company has mostly a great product but commercially I would never use them again. You receive NO support, if you are patient and kind they will forget you, if you force some attention they would belittle you. I took the Asana University training so I am saying this as someone who used to love the product and moved a company entirely off paper onto it with over 700-800 projects completed yearly, and attempted to do that again for another company. DO NOT USE ASANA FOR THIS. I myself will be looking at Monday.com for the interface and was able to reconstruct most of what Asana offers on a commercial Google Services Account. (FOR FREE!!) ((because they already use Google services)) Google offers great customer service and I have began a new journey with Monday.com for multiple user interface/tracking. The entire situation is seriously UNFORTUNATE. This (Asana) system is still probably great for students or personal development tracking but I would not go beyond that and because everyone wants to be able to expand on skills and grow with these types of programs I would suggest even the students to look elsewhere..

It was just fine when I started it has good sections and easy to use for tasks but whenever you write something for me it always froze and didn’t save making me having to redo what I just spent my last hour on. Don’t suggest
Used to be good
The mobile app is near unusable after the most recent update. I understand using a huge amount of padding is trendy but it simply doesn’t work for an app that’s supposed to be information-dense. This has been a real blow to my team’s productivity.
Time Waster
Get used to seeing the pinwheel spin on your cell phone as you try to download ‘magic links’ and attempt to log in. Says I’m already logged on but won’t allow access to the program when you try to sign in again. Password change. Still inaccessible. Not meant for iPhone?
Forced to use App on mobile
The app is great, don’t get me wrong. BUT I’m not able to view Asana on my mobile browser - it forces me to use the app - which I’m not able to download unless I’m on wifi.
So work on the go? Nah. We had to drive home today for a work emergency, just to get into Asana, because my phone has deleted the app (thanks apple).
Whatever my own phone is doing or not - I should not be forced to use your app to be able to view a task, when I have a browser in my hand. It’s beyond frustrating when you’re already low on time.
Great for delegating. But add this one thing!
I’m really loving this app. I’d switch my entire company over to this. But please add *voice note* as a way to discuss a task in the discussion filed - not just video. Sometimes a voice memo can be the fastest simplest way to explain a task for a manager.
Without this, you’re forced to move away from the app and use other systems, which creates confusion.
Tasks, Goals for Work and Life
I am really enjoying this app for not only planning my tasks and goals for business, but also for personal. It is truly an amazing all-in-one app. Highly recommend this for anyone who is setting goals and needs a little reminder throughout the week.
