This app is pretty great for general usage. It has most of the key controls and is easier than using the remote. Sometimes the amp goes to sleep and the app looses sync and I have to reconnect to get it to pick up. I would like to see a bit more polish.
This app could be great, however it will often lose connection with the Yamaha amp, and yet the connection is consistently stable on my partners phone (also iPhone X with latest update). The app will not show up in the general-settings of the phone where all the downloaded apps are, even though it is displayed on my home screen and can be found in the App Library. Because it doesn’t show up in the general-settings, I am unable to control what it has access to and an unable to identify if it is actually connected properly to our home network. Very frustrating and unreliable.
Has a bug in the latest version of iOS where if the phone screen turns off (which you can’t change any more) the musical stops playing so you get Max 5 minutes of music at a time - very annoying
I have used this app for years, but after upgrading my iPhone to OS15, it does not work. Yamaha pls upgrade this app
I’ve had my Yamaha AVR for a few years now and every now and then I think maybe they’ve updated it and it’ll work now! But no. It’s worked once, and it made everything so much easier when it did.
Yamaha need to sort the issues with this app as it crashes more often now and we have had to find the old remotes. Come to the party Yamaha and let’s keep the music cranking.
Only worked on one device out of three and then just stopped for no reason. It’s clunky and aesthetically a bit of a mess. Great when it’s working but that’s not often. 😒

Love this app has totally transformed my home No way to get digital output to Zones? And it would be good if I could configure the unit for party mode Any suggestions?
The app is probably the worst app available from this App Store. Delays of up to a minute between tap options, make this app practically unusable. You’ll spend plenty of time walking to to your amp and manually changing the options out of sheer frustration If you’ve already bought the amp, and have just downloaded the app - bad luck. At lease you’ll get lots of exercise walking to your amp
