Bank of Ireland Mobile Banking

I would expect more from the biggest bank in Ireland, this app looks like bank app from 10 years ago. The last update was one year ago, everything you do basically sends you to a website, you can’t log in with finger print, you can’t see your balance in a quick screen, you don’t get your statements to your mobile app. The only thing you can do is check your balance.

This has to be the worst app that has ever been produced. You would think with the soaring profits BOI are making that they would be able to invest in a quick, reliable and user friendly app. If I could give it 0 stars I would. Let’s you down right when you need it.

I’ve been using the App on a couple of iPhones, the Face ID hardly ever works while using it on iPhone 13 Pro Max, I since had that phone stolen on me and now using an old iPhone XR, might as well remove Face ID for older phones as it’s non functional, I’ve noticed the App is using 7.3GB of space which is documents and data, how on earth does it contain and hold this much. I understand the App can’t work the same as the fintech Apps but surely getting the basics right is key. Please BOI fix this..

Really bad app for keeping track of transactions. It’s not real time and its absolutely terrible. What’s the difficulty of adding the transaction in real time? Add an pending or completed over the transaction if that is the hassle that is stopping you from adding this simple thing in the app.

The app is so bad it’s nearly non functional. I could spend all day listing out the issues, but there are too many for a review. Sort it out BOI

What is it with boi and their terrible apps and websites? The AIB app is way superior

Still a very disappointing app. Laggy, old fashioned and buggy. It’s a testament to the low regard customers are to by BOI.

Standing order set up didn’t work so they asked me to go into a branch

Please make this app more like the Revolut app which is far easier to navigate on. It would be nice to be able to nickname your payees. It would also be nice to have the ability to write notes beside any transactions you have made when viewing the transactions page summary.

A generally terrible app which hasn’t worked for me in weeks. Literally won’t load the Home Screen 24/11/22 developer suggesting to force close the app. I’ve done that dozens of times without effect. An unhelpful suggestion about an unhelpful app. 20/12/22 App times out on every attempt to top Revolut. Can’t top up. App is completely unworkable 20/5/23 same problem again. I have deleted the app to try and install it. The app keeps keeps refreshing every 2 second and won’t work. Can’t even register it. Nightmare. I need mobile banking. 18/9/23 same problem again. 24/10/23 had to offload and reinstall the app
