Just checked the previous reviews by switching to Airplane mode. They’re correct, internet connection required. Totally cripples the app for me when abroad.
A pity, because I really like Camera+ and have used it for years.
Developers, please reconsider this extremely bad decision. I don’t want to be forced to change Camera app…
Update: Just had a ‘cookie’ acceptance dialogue appear as soon as I opened the app. So now you’ve added advertisements? Are you trying to drive people away? You’re CRIPPLING this app!!
Great app- when it works.
I was very happy with this app. , great controls and editing tools, BUT the app has crashed many times in the last 6 months and I have had to reinstall m, losing many photos in the process. I will be looking for an alternative soon!

I have used the app for many years and always like and enjoyed it.
I did not like having to pay again for something I had already purchased, but I did (foolishly and now with regret).
They in, their infantry wisdom, now check you have paid every time you start the app. No internet equals no camera. This is not acceptable.
I am also not prepared to pay them a third time for something I have already purchased.
My advice would be to anyone - don’t entertain them, as in my opinion this is bad practice.
New bug?
For some odd reason v24.3.3 does not open in my iPhone 16 pro max…
Until recently, this software was asking to pay again for a lifetime licence and I stopped using it.
So today, I accidentally fired up camera+ 2 today only to realise that either the developers have fixed the purchases or they’ve decided to honour those who have purchased the lifetime licence. I’m glad either way. Thank you.
Buggy app now unreliable
App will not start if it has no internet connectivity. Volume snap function does not work. Developer not interested in bug reports so these things will likely never be fixed.
The least I expect is the functionality I paid for originally. Not interested in any more functions or features.

Unusable
The app over the past year or so has had it’s issues. And it continues. Unable to switch modes from standard mode to any other mode, making this app useless. Used to be a happy customer when i purchased this app years ago, but it’s really gone downhill. One star rating is justified
