Cara FAQ
Is Cara free?
Yes, Cara is completely free and it doesn't have any in-app purchases or subscriptions.
Is Cara legit?
🤔 The Cara app's quality is mixed. Some users are satisfied, while others report issues. Consider reading individual reviews for more context.
It’s nice to have a new app focused on artists and art showcase. It’s more easy to connect with artists and people passionate about art.
Hope devs will go in the right direction and keep fostering love for art and care for artists without going down the route of instagram or twitter. Till now looks great.
amazing app but..
Hey cara Im sorry for writing this in a review but I have no choice. It wont let me log back in it takes me back to th login page when i log in why is this? Thanks
Good start but the app really needs work
UI is too laggy for such a simple app. There are noticeable stutters, gestures are iffy, pinch zooming in on images is not possible without first clicking the image, and the app doesn’t use the entire screen. Is this because it isn’t a native ios app? It’s not 2010, it’s too late in the game for these kind of ui problems and people’s muscle memory from instagram needs to be better translated over.
Promising
A nice little app, I respect the founders’ mission to make this an AI-free oasis. That said, the beta that I’m using is still quite buggy so I’ve deducted a star from what would have been a 5 star review.
Nevertheless I look forward to getting a lot of use out of this.

Cozy artist app
I’m really enjoying this app and think it has huge potential. There’s a lovely community of artists and art lovers, and it feels nice to be able to browse art without having to worry that it’s AI or counterfeit. Or if it is, you can report it and the platform will take it seriously. 10 out of 10 💚
My one and only dislike (and this really is such a minor thing!) is the constant dark mode. I find dark mode very hard to use. But I imagine we’ll be able to choose for ourselves in the future, so it probably won’t be an issue for much longer ☺️
Looooong waiting time
Long waiting time between every single post
Unacceptable if you want to beat instagram
Absolutely amazing for artists and those in the creative community, highly recommend
Really wholesome community, there are some issues and bugs yes, but they are rapidly being fixed as that arrive, and the Cara team is really on top of everything. Very easy layout to understand and use, 10/10
So much potential but extremely slow
The application is extremely slow, it is not perfect but I am all in for an app that promises no GenAI implementation and gives us artists a clean place without the GenAI image clutter
Signed up but won’t let me sign in
Signed up to the app but it keeps saying that it’s an invalid log in! So annoying when apps don’t work properly.
