In-app check in simply doesn’t work

I would argue that the one essential feature of an airline’s app is that one can use it to board a flight. I tried using the app for the first time, set up my frequent flier program and everything, and now I am trying to check in and the screens just display blank white backgrounds after I confirm which passengers I am trying to check in. There is a continue button down at the bottom which throws an error code (E23CA0005-D1DEED in case any devs care to read this and want to debug), I assume because I am supposed to be entering information on the screen that won’t load. I would love it if check in worked, I’m on an iPhone 14 Pro and have tried on 2 different WiFi networks and my cellular service plan, but nothing has helped. Also tried uninstalling and re-installing, no luck. I can’t rate it more than a 1 star until they fix what I would consider a fundamental feature on a phone they should be supporting.

I’m a cx Diamond member, don’t understand how anyone can develop such a terrible app. I have a flight tomorrow that i need to check in to, app doesn’t work, keeps crashing. I’d give this zero stars if I can.

App not tested at all

Frequent crashes, freezing. It’s very easy to get the app to crash repeatedly simply by choosing a particular option in the menu (In flight magazines). Needs a more robust testing and validation by the app team

App barely supports basic functions

I had to use the app to purchase tickets because the website is even worse (stuck at receiving verification code that’s never received and no it’s not my carrier or my phone’s problem). In the mobile app, you can’t choose seat before you book to see what’s available. You can only choose seats after your booking (lame). Additionally, when I tried to select a special meal, the app crushes when clicking “done” to save my preferences. So the meal preferences were never saved. Guess I have to go back to the web to finish this???? I’m also looking to upgrade and god knows whether the app will do anything crazy…. Buying air ticket from others is never this stressful.
