Chineasy: Learn Chinese easily

I started using this app to support my sessions with a tutor and it has been really helpful to memorize words without much effort. You can also tell that the creators really love and respect Chinese culture, as there is a lot to learn about history and customs, apart from the language.

It has always been my dream to learn at least a few words in Chinese. As a native Russian speaker, I was constantly told that Chinese is the hardest language in the world and nearly impossible to learn. However, this app has completely changed my perspective. The structure of this app is absolutely genius. It starts with easier words and gradually introduces more complex concepts in a way that makes perfect sense. The logical progression of lessons has made the learning process incredibly smooth and manageable for me. I believe the difficulty in learning Chinese stems from the different ways of thinking and perceiving reality. This app beautifully bridges that gap, making it easy and accessible. It is very democratic in its approach, catering to learners at all levels and inspiring confidence to keep moving forward. I am truly grateful for this app as it has made learning Chinese an enjoyable and achievable goal for me. I’ve only just started a bit ago learning Chinese to try and speak to my friend’s parents. It took me five months to learn some basic words/phrases at first— trying to teach myself off my notebooks and duolingo was so difficult. In only four days on Chineasy I have learned 96 words. Incredible art and concept.

Good for recognizing characters, not so good for pronunciation because of how slow it is. Please make it sound faster to be more accurate for pronunciation, thank you.

Helped me learn a lot easily because i am a visual learner, but the fact you have to BUY more levels to learn more than just the basics is unfortunate. Don’t download if u wanna learn more than just a few words that aren’t really important.

I despaired of learning Han zi—but really had no way to memorize the shapes. Chineasy has made learning this intimidating information in game form. I have fun while improving.

I love learning new languages so I am constantly trying out new apps and programs to help me learn. So I can appreciate the creativity and artistry that went into designing the art for each character. You don’t see that from any other apps around! Other apps will just have you do rote memorization but Chineasy makes learning the characters fun and in a way where you can actually remember them! The SRS section is great to to help establish a new word in your memory. It’s great to have this all in one app. I also appreciate the cultural info as well. Part of my desire to learn a new language is because of my love for history and cultures. You really get everything all in one in this app. It’s going to be a new staple on my phone and it’s easily become my favorite go to!

This app is incredible! Before Duolingo, Chineasy is what jump-started my Chinese learning journey. Even though I’m coming in and out of learning Chinese right now, I thought it would be helpful to rate this anyway. The concept of using drawings and pictures to help you memorize the meanings of the characters is absolutely genius and is a feature I wish a lot of language-learning apps had. The ONLY reason(s) that my review isn’t five stars is that I wish a few more of the lessons were free, and I wish that the app had a way to test you so that you could start the free lessons at your own level, instead of only having the basics be free. But, other than that, it’s great and I highly recommend it for any Chinese learner.
