Our most recent ride never moved toward us on the app. When it showed 0 minutes left we walked over 20 minutes to the car icon on the map ( which was stuck and never moved). We got to the icon and there was no car there. Called support and was told “sorry, maybe try again?”. Overall we wasted almost an hour on this and had to take an Uber. Terrible experience overall and will definitely avoid using Cruise in the future. I’m sure they’ll figure it out eventually but the current cost does not justify the hassle.
This app has no conceivable way of getting a lost item back. They were going to make us come back to the same location 24+ hours later and wouldn’t tell us why. It was completely inconvenient and they refused to refund our trips for all the trouble we went through. We will never be using this app again
My roomba is better
Cruise is great. One of few positive things that happened to SF in the past years. Other cities will follow and the socioeconomic impact will be huge. Thank you Cruise.
App is easy to use. As a female, felt safer in a driverless car than a rideshare. Also appreciated that the car actually stops at stop signs.. can’t say that about most human drivers
I’ve taken 20+ rides and it’s always a fantastic ride. It’s incredibly safe and clean.
The car doesnt slow down or stop on a right turn. I was crossing the street and almost run over. Had to jump out of the way. Maybe it wouldve stopped but its very concerning.
I was driving (a distance, fortunately) behind a Cruise vehicle, when all of the sudden it fully slammed on its brakes, and put it's hazards on. There was NO object in front of it: not a car, a person, or an animal. It soon after continued to drive, but only after I had to slam on my own brakes, and after leaving myself and my passengers very shaken up. Not to mention, I’ve routinely seen these things stopped in the VERY middle of the road with hazards on, rather than simply pulling to the side. These automated cars should absolutely not be on the road.
I don’t understand outside service area! I haven’t used yet for that reason I hope u guys can expand that. Thanks
