FAQs
Can I rent more than one bike at once?
Yes, you can rent up to 5 bikes at once! Just make sure to select the correct number of vehicles right at the beginning of your booking process.
Can I leave the bike anywhere?
No. We work hard with the cities to keep the streets clean and accessible for everyone. Please return your Donkeys to specific drop-off locations when you are done for the day.
What if I have issues?
Our support team is always happy to help and understands that life happens.

HOW PRICING WORKS
Just Ride (Pay as you go)
With no strings attached. Just Ride is ideal for trips from 15 mins to a few hours. You can also top up your Donkey Wallet with money and we will give you bonus credit that you can use for Just Riding.
Day Deals
In some cities, we have rolled out day deals which are great for when you just need a bike for the 1,2,3, or up to 7 days. Visiting for a weekend or inspired to explore like a local when you're on vacation? This is the perfect solution for you or a guest visiting you.
Monthly memberships
With a Donkey membership, you pay a fixed monthly fee and get a certain amount of free time per day. If you exceed the included daily free time, your rental is extended for a low fixed cost. Ideal for the daily commute and for a busy city life with multiple errands throughout the day. Valid in all Donkey cities.

We are a team of 40(ish) firm believers in cycling as the most efficient mode of transportation and the only one our cities need. We work by the rule that any decision we make will have to bring us closer to being a sustainable, affordable, and reliable mobility provider. Gps pozíció lezárásakor

Jó az alkalmazás és a szolgáltatás is! Én csak szezonban használok bringát és jobban megéri így, bérlettel mintha sajátom lenne. Kedves fejlesztők, Néhány frissítéssel ezelőtt kikerült az utolsó lezárás pozíciójának mutatása! Ez egy hasznos dolog volt! Nálam nem látszik, hogy le van e lakatolva a kerékpár vagy sem! Tegyétek vissza ezt a funkciót!

Vannak problémák, de amúgy ok

A szolgáltatási terület lehetne nagyobb (van élet a Hungária körúton túl is...). Az utóbbi időben a bringaállomány állapota folyamatosan egyre rosszabb lett, és ezen az sem segít, hogy a bringás futárok szabályosan megszállták a szolgáltatást, valamint a Bubi is megszűnt átmenetileg, így összességében jóval kevesebb bringára jóval több felhasználó jut. És könyörgöm, 2021-ben akkora kérés az, hogy át lehessen írni az e-mail címet??? Komolyan?

I love this, I use it daily in Budapest. But sometimes it's hard to find the type of bike whose seatpost is long enough. I wish all the types would have equally long seatposts. Or have more of the ones that have them.

The app is great

With the new version the app works well.

Surcharge

If you leave your bike freely in a hub, they still charge you a huge amount. Major disappointment.

Satisfied but could be better

I’ve obtained the app when I visited Berlin, as I heard it’s big one out there. In overall my impressions was really good. The app was easy to use, the bikes are very comfortable and everywhere in the city. However I’d be interested in the route where we have been during the ride in a detailed version, eg.: speed, average speed, distance and an automatic notification where I left my bike. Thanks for creating it, it was fun! ;)

Proud supporter!

I have been using Donkey Republic for nearly 2 years now in Budapest. They are simply amazing. Most importantly their customer service is top class. I have called them many times for different reasons/questions and they never failed to amaze me with how helpful, nice, positive and energetic they are. The bikes are also great. They constantly add new bikes and improve them in various ways. They have turned me into a regular biker whilst prior to this I barely ever took bicycles around the town. I hope you keep up the great work guys!!!
