Registering is a JOKE

Wow… See if you don’t want my business/cash etc don’t have me jump through all the hoops for registration. I have heard so many positive stories/experiences that have pathwayed me to your product and have been seriously let down by your inability to close out or give me any feedback on what I should have to do to make the transaction happen. Actually never felt so undervalued/unhappy buying an APP Happy for you to have your feedback but I am truly grateful their are other app/products out there that actually don’t charge me, however deliver. Thanks Brian

It’s AWFUL

no where compared to the desktop app. The mobile app is just horrendously awful. Apple dictation was more accurate than it. Didn’t even finish the trial period and removed the app. What a waste

Appalling customer service in UK

Shocking customer service although the product when working is good. They have problems activating subscriptions for the app. No one seems to know what they are doing. It looks like there is only a small team working in the UK and they refer to their office in the US, but no one gets back to you. So I have an annual subscription I paid for that cannot be activated.

Dropbox Synch broken

Update—still not fixed after 5 months. One would think they’d have issued a fix by now. They still advertise it as a feature in their sales literature. IB _________ I really like this App, but Dropbox Synch stopped working with the last release, having worked faultlessly hitherto. When I logged a Support Ticket they asked me for additional info: the usual stuff like OS version, and a screenshot of the error message, but I haven’t heard from them since, despite 2 chasers. My subscription is due for renewal in about a week. I’ll renew, nonetheless, as I’ve used Dragon products for around 25 years, with all the ups and downs. The App isn’t cheap, and it would be nice if it worked properly. Integration and synching with MS OneDrive for Business would be a great feature to implement too. Ian

Not fit for purpose

Having been a dragon user for many years I can unfortunately say that the glitches with this company over the years have not improved but only got worse. I’m a mac user and previously used all the macspeech software applications before they sold out to dragon nuance, managed to get to grips with dragon for mac and dragon for mac professional but not without having to be emailing them back and forth for a whole series issues. When they stopped the update support for the desktop versions I was super disappointed, then dragon anywhere arrived, I thought ok I’ll give it a try, initially for the first couple of years after getting the hang of it using it on an iPad Pro and iPhone it was really handy, then recently I had to update my payment details and it wouldn’t let me, after spending 4 hrs of my working day with back and forth phone calls and being told to set up a new account, losing all my auto texts and trained words etc. (no biggy, as if!!), Oh I forgot to add that the same thing happened before when they changed servers or something and you had log out and log back in about a year or so ago and all your words and texts were lost then as well, so technically this was already a new account! Eventually I get the issue sorted, that was 3 weeks ago, I use the app on both my iPad Pro and iPhone 15pro, the app started to crash on the iPad yesterday, so delete and reinstall thinking this was all sorted the last time I spoke with them only 3 weeks ago so should be ok right….. wrong! App won’t let me log in, speak with customer support, they say some server issue, eventually later that evening I manage to log in on the iPad and when I try to dictate a pop up appears telling me that “speech recognition is not available because the user name is not licensed in the nuance management centre, contact your administrator”, I click on the manage subscriptions, can see that there is an active license with payment details, try again and no joy!!!! Ring customer support the next morning on my way to work, send a screenshot and they say they can’t understand it, they’re going to have to escalate it to some kind of supervisor, call back later, I ring back later after 4 pm asking for the same person I spoke to the day before and earlier in the morning and this guy tells me they can’t put me through to specific support techs, that’s obviously a change as I was able to speak with them on at least 3 separate occasions before as requested. Excellent on desktop, terrible on mobile, let down by Shop

On a desktop, for professional use, Dragon is head and shoulders above, almost any other kind of speech recognition for its speed, and accuracy, alone, let alone the unmatchable integration with editing, application, control, and the ability to create custom libraries of words. Sadly, the mobile version is nothing like as accurate, Fast, or powerful. Unless you are in a perfectly acoustically quite environment, it really struggles, and switching between the phone, microphones and earbuds causes other problems. Both desktop and mobile are badly let down bye an absolutely awful shopping experience thanks to an outdated non-integrated, clunky and error ridden Implementation by Digital River/nuance. If you are expecting a “click to buy and go” experience, you are going to be really disappointed as there are multiple manual steps involving email, data, input, and a ferociously complicated miss match between the passwords for the application, the password for the American store, the password for the UK store, the password for the support system, and the passwords for the Apple app. It’s a complete joke. (The terrible punctuation and errors in this review are all caused by apples, own voice recognition joke)

Horribly flawed

You’ve finished dictating. If you SAY select all and then PRESS copy it copies what you’ve dictated. If you SAY select all and then SAY copy it replaces all your dictated text with the word ‘copy’ and immediately autosaves. The undo command and button do nothing. Theres no way to access previous saves. Its just gone. Lots of other bugs and weird things where it it inserts into the middle of words as you speak or moves punctuation around.

I used to love this app. I've been using it for many years. It was five stars all the time. Then it started to interpret coughs and sneezes as words, so I changed it to 4 stars. But sadly in the last few months, the number of mistakes it makes in dictation with my voice has mushroomed. It used to make mistakes in noisy environments, such as when there was a fan going or something. Now it makes the same number of mistakes, even in a silent atmosphere. Same tech.
