Thank you for your response regarding the copy function. This helps! However the copy function is only possible on the mobile app, not desktop. My update review: What would make the app perfect: 1. Include stroke order animation for each simplified and traditional 2. Let users practise each character by drawing them on the app (giving the option to choose between traditional and simplified). There are apps like “Robo Kana” or Kanji and Kanji Teacher for example which have this feature. 3. Allow the copy function without needing to go to “dictionary” and enable copying on desktop as well.

Still the best Chinese learning app! I tried different popular apps, but none of them give you such opportunities like DuChinese. One of the best features here for me are Traditional characters and Bopomofo (Zhuyin) symbols.

Anlässlich des Black Friday wollte ich ein Abo abschließen in einer chinesisch lernen App. Als ich bei DU Chinese reinschaute fiel mir auf dass man zwar nach Schwierigkeitsgrad filtern kann aber nicht nach Altersgruppe. Als Erwachsener scheinen mir die Newbie und Elementary Inhalte zu stark an Kinder orientiert. Das macht kein Spaß. Ich möchte als Erwachsener lernen und mich nicht mit Little Yu und Ihre Kindheit auseinandersetzen. Vielleicht soll man dazu ein Hinweis in der App einplanen, dass man sich an Kinder orientiert damit man hier als Erwachsener nicht den Fehlkauf des Jahrhunderts begeht?

App is awesome, one suggestion from my side to further enhance the UI. It would be awesome if you could not only pause/play but also go back and forth with a control menu at the bottom.

This app is super user friendly and perfect for learning Chinese and improve reading skills and vocabulary! The stories are cool and it’s fun to study this way! I absolutely recommend this app!

Du Chinese is a great language tool for Mandarin learners of all levels. I like the simplicity with which it can be used and the variety of levels available (I read Upper Intermediate and Advanced texts). Reading 1 or 2 quick stories on the go is easily done and pretty rewarding. The greatest utility is achieved when one saves unknown vocab and revises new words directly in app or through an export to apps such as Pleco. Each sentence is complemented by an English translation that actually makes sense and captures the meaning of phrases and sayings accurately. I can highly recommend Du Chinese for anyone looking for ways to boost their cognition skills through the study of materials outside of the standard classroom textbooks. As long as the developers continue to provide quality articles and perhaps some new features/updates in the future, I am happy to pay. Tip: if you are currently a student, you can contact them through their website and obtain a 50% discount on subscriptions!!

something like this has lots of potential, because there is a lack of chinese learning apps to train reading/comprehension of a full text. Notable bug, it seems to me, is the mixup between the 地 and 的 character which seems to happen quite regularly. I might be wrong..?
