EconomyBookings - Car Rental

Rented a car - price was including insurance 300 euros. When we show up two hours late to Europcar the booking has been cancelled and we have to pay 470 euros. The contract say nowhere two hours pick up time.

I do not recommend this company. Especially if you you are the kind of person that don’t own a credit card - like a lot of us Europeans. I ordered a rental car and paid a deposit of 200€ with my visa debit card. When I received the order confirmation, we noticed that there was a requirement for customers that they must give a credit card upon picking up the car. This is a problem as we don’t own a credit card, so I immediately contacted the company, to resolve this issue. It took maybe 2 hours before I did this. We were told we had to cancel the reservation due to this, as it was a company policy. I want to point out that we made the reservation in August 2022, it was for February 2023. We finally got a confirmation that we would be refunded for the deposit, but they would charge us about 60 euros in fees! Again I want to point out that we reached out to the company just two hours after making the reservation, due to this requirement, which is in no way obvious during the booking process. We have reached out to the company with a complaint in regards to this. They have not responded. TL;DR Don’t book with this company, they require credit card for rentals which they only point out after booking, they also charge a fee in case you need to cancel due to this.

This company is a scam

I booked a rental 2 hours before I picked it up. I just moved to the city and I get there and they tell me I can’t rent it due to that reason. I Did everything I was told to do by the manager to request a refund or a credit and was denied the refund or a credit. Horrible customer service

In the car rental, they didn't want to provide me with the service and economybooking doesn't want to give me the refund, if you travel better look for another option

I called the customer service and they said that I can get refunded on the same payment method. But when I tried to refund there was no option for that and it forced a refund credit on economy bookings instead. Basically you have to use the money with them.

If I could give it no stars I would. They don’t tell you have to have a major credit card at pick up at air port. Then when you can’t pick up the car your out all that money. Very disappointed

Bait and switch is the game played. No response to issues, will add extras with no ability to correct. One and done customer.

They scammed me for my money
