Works at all stations except the one I use.
When I use the app at my local Esso, it doesn’t verify and authorize the transaction. Noticed it says I’m 157m from station when I’m standing next to pump. Hopefully this is an easy fix but really frustrating.
Stopped working when it merged with Mobil
Don’t bother. Terrible software. Never authorizes payment. Once was parked next to pump and was told to drive to a gas station to use app. Complete waste of time which is shame as the older version worked great
App double charges
Check your transactions when using this app. It double charged me for gas.
I now have waste hours on hold with bank and then deal with Esso phone agents that don’t understand English
Deleting this app not worth the trouble
New app doesn’t allow Esso payment cards or Esso discount/litre cards
Good luck trying to get this app to work. Back to the old credit card approach. Shell has an excellent app that works well.
Totally unusable vs the Speedpass app it replaced
When activated at the station, it texts you a verification code. You have to copy/paste that code because the keyboard will not appear. Then when you want to select a pump, it won’t allow you to select a pump from the scroll thru of pump numbers, instead you have to input the pump number manually. But the keyboard WILL NOT appear so it is impossible to activate a pump. Plus, manually entering instead of visually selecting could introduce human error more easily. Please withdraw this app and bring back the app it replaced.
Stupid system
If you authorize at the pump using the app. It only goes to $150. That is dumb. In my truck I have a 200L tank or $320. So you have to authorize again.
Oh but wait. You can’t. You must wait 24 hours to use the same credit card at the pump using the app.
How dumb is that?
At a minimum they should allow you, in the app, to set your default pre authorized amount and use a pin or face recognition to secure the app
Hold on credit card
Hold for $150 on my credit card days later. App worked great, love the idea of it. But the hold is ridiculous to still be on my card days after the transaction has successfully processed. Will not be using this app

Paiement en attendre au montant de 2 X -150$ et j’ai même pas pris l’essence, problème avec les pompes à la station , sa fait plus de 48h et j’ai toujours pas reçu mon argent ????
Pay at pump doesn’t work.
So what is the point? Useless! Went to different stations, could not pay at pump for either. Tried asking in store, response was “not working”, no other explanation.
Contacted customer service through the app 3 times now. Absolutely no help and then no responses.
I have lots of stations near me with points cards that have apps that work and they are happy to take my money.
I’m not going to keep wrestling with this app.
App Problems
For 2 days in a row I have tried paying with the app using both Apple Pay and my PC Mastercard - independent of Apple Pay.
I have tried several times each time. None of the times has worked. I have seen messages such as “we cannot authorize your payment/card” and “it’s not your fault it’s ours, please reach out to us”.
I would like to use your app. Please advise what is the problem and can you fix it so that I can use your app?
