eToro: Trade & Invest

There are no urgency in responding nor resolving issues. Tickets gets logged and disappears in a void

I am new to this app, it having been recommended to me. So far my experience is one of irritation. Too much clutter on the screen. I want to see a simple screen only about my stocks. I want to see what stocks I have, how they are performing, and how much cash I have available to invest. Also, I get too many emails from eToro. I have tried to stop these pesky emails. I would rather opt in to emails than having to opt out. I will update this review as time progresses but the first two weeks have been awful.

I have literally tried about 80% of Platforms out there and besides eToro , I have yet to find another platform that : 1) caters for beginner to experienced traders 2) so easy to navigate around 3) has such a wide range of assets 4) responds to questions within 12hrs 5) pays out withdrawals within hours If one is starting out , this is the Platform for you.

I’m unable to withdraw funds due to a blockage on my account from eToro side. Now when I want to withdraw funds it says I cannot. After emailing customer care numerous times they say it’s resolved but negative it is not! Just win things on the trading side they randomly close my account and take my money! Worst app ever!!!

The etorro app is easy to use and well designed. Support is great and no issues with bank transfers

Don’t bother. If you experience a techical issue with the platform - expect to sit around for a couple of weeks losing money while the technical team figure out how to do their jobs. Use a professional platform like IBKR, you’re guaranteed to save yourself some headaches 👍🏻

Great App. Low Fees

I’ve been using eToro since 2021 for accessing international stocks and indexes. It has the most user-friendly mobile and web-based interface by far when compared to other trading apps. Deposits, fiat withdrawals, and crypto transfers to eToro Money are exceptionally easy. The copy-trader function is a great way to learn from experienced traders. In addition, the eToro Academy is a fantastic FREE resource platform with a wide range of topics suitable for every type of trader-investor. Finally, I’ve only had to engage client support twice since I joined up, and the support I received was excellent! eToro definitely deserves 5 stars!

I am working 99% of the time on the eToro mobile app, please change the the Trade option not to default to MARKET or LIMIT - app use must select the option, if the user taps twice Market is defaulting - not a trade rate I wanted

I deposited funds and then withdrew immediately - that cost me £35 (maybe $40) I mean, when I transfer an amount from my account and then the amount that arrives is less, I’m obviously upset with that. It should be made clear what the fees are for each transaction upfront.. but then again if they did that they might not have £35 of my money, would they? In other news, the app itself isn’t very user friendly, I see there are some features I didn’t explore but no. I’ll use something else to trade and would not recommend this to anyone. *update The response I got was a very patronising - “do your own research”. Well, “Hidden fees” are always to be found eventually but in this case like so many others the devil is in the details. The customer should not have to go out of their way to go and find the price of a product or service from the seller, end of story. I’m unhappy and I know I’m not the only one. So sort it out! “Your bank will charge you fees for this transaction” is probably even enough. Businesses esp in this space need to manage customer expectations, not just ‘handle’ customer dissatisfaction. Pfff
