Fastmail Reviews

Best customer support

WhiteCamel on

United States

I’ve used multiple email clients over the years including Outlook and Gmail. Compared to the rest, Fastmail is fast and feature rich. What impresses me most is the prompt personal customer support. By far the best of any I’ve dealt with!

Great Job!!

Very good. Still hangs a lot!

JesusBenNazareth on

UPDATE:Aug2024-Dec:Lately it has been hanging a LOT, requiring forced app restarts. Both iPad and iPhone. Particularly common after the app has been idle for a while. Prior to this year, it had been stable for years. It must be great given that I’m here merely to gripe about a small thing. Gripe: It takes way too many clicks to copy the address an email was sent to to the clipboard. I use disposable email addresses mostly (unique to each recipient, so there are hundreds) so I’m constantly needing to do this. I can see each address while scrolling through emails in a thread. but it’s: Click to expand tap, tap to show details (Yeah, NO, it’s not on this giant menu!??!) (NO, at this point or the last, I can’t long tap on the address either - that works in some other apps but in this one, that gets me almost nowhere as selecting and copying is impossible or really difficult and unpredictable that way—And my recollection is it was easier back in pre- iPhone 4 days but that’s an iOS issue...) Note: Discovering through trial and error that there is no quicker way to accomplish the task takes way, way more steps than shown here! tap for menu Tap for more Tap for copy

Doesn’t work offline

Chrono-Synclastic on

United States

I’m amazed that I can’t use this app offline. The whole point of email is to download your messages so you can read them offline. This has actually been an issue for both me and my wife several times when we needed access to email and didn’t have a connection.

Constant issues opening inbox

AF72321 on

United States

When I first tried Fastmail (and paid for two year sub) it worked flawlessly. In recent months my inbox will not open on iPhone or desktop. I have to make several attempts and logout and login which is very frustrating especially when all I need is a simple login code or something similar. I would not have paid for the subscription had a faced these issues from the beginning

Always reliable and just works

Rockaholic114 on

United States

I’ve been using Fastmail for years and wouldn’t pick anything else. The app is solid and reliable, and the web interface is very good too. I would like to see an easier way to switch between accounts, but other than that very happy with Fastmail.

Bad multi account UX

12812081208 on

United States

Please add a way to show email across multiple accounts in a single inbox or at least simplify account switching to not require four clicks. People have been asking for this for years.

Terrible Dark Icon

One Click Man on

United States

Who on earth approved this icon? The general theme for dark icons is there is a dark border on the outside and the icon content on the inside. Your app icon sticks out like a sore thumb amongst all the other dark icons.

Slowmail

rockhopper72 on

United States

Unfortunately the iOS app has gotten very slow to boot. It takes at least 5 seconds for seemingly no reason. Otherwise the service is good. 🤷
