Good mail service and…

MaikR on

Good mail service and app. Please add the option to have only the mail body displayed in white / light grey when in dark mode. Some emails do not display nice on a dark background AND also your print function malfunctions as it tries to print white text on a white background / paper.

Please create a back-link option

Dril kaboutertje998 on

For now I use Evernote to forward emails, notes and even documents in the cloud, to able me to create an internal link to use this in agenda’s calendars and task-manager apps. So I can click in one of these apps on that back-link, which opens the specific note, email or document. (not via stupid icloud-sharing via email please, so 1999!) Please make it possible to create an internal back-link in this app which can be used in any app to open the info back-liked to.

Solid app, but lacks support for external keybord

As a power user, my workflow on ipad could be more smooth if the app had proper keyboard shortcuts, etc.

OK, but minimum effort

m-app on

As others have said, it’s just a wrapper around the webview, it seems, and lacks a coherent, iOS-native feel. Basic settings such as configuring Archive/Delete/Read/Spam on swiping left or right are non-existent. Such a shame, because otherwise I love Fastmail and would love to use their app more.

Really good, but has caveats

hobarrera on

I've been using fastmail for years, but only switched to their app recently. Boy has it improved! I like that the unread count is the "unread threads", nor "unread messages". The UI is very well though through, and a step up from iOS built-in email client. My main gripe is that if you use the app for both email and calendar, both things are in the same app. When I'm writing an email I can't quickly switch to my calendar app and back - I have to stop composing, navigate to the calendar, check something, and then go back to drafts and continue where I left off. It gets very tedious quickly. I wonder if calendar can be split into a separate app (I blame iOS for not letting me open two Fastmail windows).

Fix iphone 12 mini zoomed mode

R_G_S on

After months still not showing correctly on iPhone 12 mini zoomed mode. And no, I do not want to use the beta version.

Hoping for a truly native app

cefstat on

I really wanted to like this app. I’m a happy Fastmail customer for several years now and I thought that it would be great to have an app that integrates well with the service. I’ve been now using the app for several months and today I got so fed up that I decided to write this review. The first main problem with the app is that it appears that it is just a wrapper around a webview. Being on a slow network means that the UI can take forever to load. This is the reason for today’s frustration. I haven’t been able to use the app to check email for the whole day. The second problem, related to the first one, is that e-mails are not saved offline. This means that I can’t depend on the app to find old e-mails with potentially useful information at arbitrary moments or to draft e-mail replies when I’m offline. So, after trying the app for several months I am now deleting it. I’m remaining a Fastmail customer but I hope that in the future they can write a decent iOS native app which can be used offline.

Nice app but font size is tiny

leokennis on

The app works nicely but the font size is tiny.
