Best Movie App
Great app with lots of creative control. The best app for video production.
2.5 stars and please pass on this money grab.
Why 2.5 stars, well; .5 of a star off for not having a zoom level indicator. 1 star off for when I was using the remote function (iPhone was the camera and an iPad was the remote monitor)the iPhone said storage full and stopped recording while the iPad(remote) didn’t show this error. Lost half of my recordings one day because of this. 1 star off for the money grab subscription. If you do want to use the weekly subscription just start it and then go and cancel it other wise they start to charge you weekly subscription amounts before the rollover date. Other than the file naming with random characters rather than sequential file names the app does what it should. The only reason I use this app is for the remote monitoring over a wifi network with no internet connection but looks like a change is coming in ios18 that will change that.
Get Blackmagic Camera app for free instead
Paid for the app years ago… now they switch to a sub model and it dont work anymore. They should make a new app, not change the original. Will never us it ever again.
Ridiculous pricing
App is decent, pricing makes it a ripoff. Go with Blackmagic.
A Must Have
Seriously, this is a must have for mobile filmmakers all over the world, this product is flawless
Subscription models are corrupt
País for original app now gotta pay subscription for this one. Lame.
So I was a v6 user…recently getting back in to video.
Not sure why I would buy this app again since Blackmagic is free—and is what Apple used to film their most recent event using the iPhone. But I did notice Filmic had been acquired by Bending Spoons so that explains the changes in pricing.
