Freenow by Lyft - taxi & more

I used the service in Cologne multiple times, but one time the driver entered a higher fare in the app than what the taxi meter showed. I filed a complaint with FreeNow customer service, but they seem to be complicit in the scam and refuse to provide accurate trip details that would reveal the driver’s fraud. I have sent numerous follow-ups to customer service, but so far without any resolution. If you use the service and rely on the taxi meter, I strongly recommend taking a photo of the meter with your camera. This will make it harder for FreeNow to scam you and will provide evidence if you need to file a police report.

The app does not show price estimations for the trip. Once destination was entered the trip was supposed to cost just over 13€ and paid wit Apple Pay. After the trip, which was as planned, the app all of a sudden informed the the trip cost was 35€! AVOID this app at all cost and choose any other app for taxi if only possible.

When ordering takes different in Apple pay than afterwards You see left from Your card account. price is much more.

we was in a rush going to AirPort And ordered taxi.. Taxi never came the taxi driver moved the pick up time forward And wasn’t answering calls.. the map showed us that the driver was just chillin in the same place And Yes it was NOt lag because first the car moved normally… that was really bad

Lost my phone in the taxi and the company did nothing to retrieve it. Multiple calls and attemps were made. Drivers are cheap workforce refugees. I suggest you take uber.

Three different times when I ordered a ride I had to pay it beforehand, when the payment was accepted the app started to look for a driver. The drivers accepted the ride but after a few minutes they canceled it and it happened over and over and then in the end the app said that there were no drivers available and canceled the whole thing BUT I never got my money back!! This happened three times so thats over a 100€ !! It’s sad because the drivers who did come were so nice and kind.. I would like to have my money back from the rides that got canceled by the app.😡

Car sharing works terribly. Poor identification process, if it is not accepted support is the only way. And if it is not available you cannot do anything. No second try… Maps are terrible. While being at the airport could not find the car since there were a few floors.

I rushed to the airport, called a taxi, and the driver stood still. I waited more than 10 minutes. Then I canceled and he still charged me the 5 euro cancellation fee? ! Then there is nowhere to complain or appeal. An app that will never be used again.

I ordered taxi which was 2 minutes away to Colosseum. I looked the map and taxi started to move to weird directions before the late arrival (taxi meter starts to run once you place your order). Price was mentioned between 12-18 euros. Finally I got to my destination and taxi meter showed 17,80€ (It still fitted the frame even the driver made his trick before arrival. But then I saw that this app charged my card 21.80 € which is minimum 20% overcharge. There no customer support to complain their fraudulent operations. Don’t use this since their method is to overcharge customers. Be carefull with this.
