I was hiking with no phone coverage and the app helped me to locate where I was and arrive to the hutt for the night
Not to bad
Thanks Garmin for developing these products!
This app is quite good when it works. However you need to remember to log in because it seems to log you out every week. This is really annoying because you need internet to log back in. Obviously most of the time that this app is in use there is no internet access. Would be a 4-5 star app if it stayed logged in
Great app. Syncs with my Garmin InReach and makes planning and executing navigation tasks easy.
I am trying to import some GPX files for some hikes that I am planning to do. When I click Add>Import GPX File from the library screen, I can see the GPX files in my library but I can’t click on them. I managed to import some by sharing the GPX to the app from the files app but then it comes in without a name and I have to manually copy and paste the name over from the GPX file which was already named correctly. It’s far more complicated that some other apps I have tried. Surely you can make this better and easier.
Your recent updates killed a perfectly working workflow for Zumo XT users. I’ve written to your support groups with no response. Very disappointed now. This has crippled my usage. Importing routes from Basecamp GPX files as courses and not routes any more has killed this established workflow. Not everyone uses Explore for hiking purposes and you’ve lost sight of that.
Easy app to use, apparently syncs with other devices, but won’t be doing that. Has the same crude tooographical maps as Garmin Earth. And why have two apps do the same job? Why not make app to rule them all? But my main issue is the abysmal level of topographic detail. Missing huts, landmarks, bridges etc and no details such as marsh’s, saddles, swing bridges or bluffs/cliffs. This is not a navigation app, it’s a Garmin social media tool.
Super easy to use to plan routes and love that you can see where you’ve gone
