No Bluetooth connections , iPhone 11/13 ans iPad Pro … all at ios16.2 .. the app not synching at all
I love all my Godox gear and tried the Godox Photo app for controlling my FL150S lights using Bluetooth instead of the dedicated remote that came with them but the app only connects to ONE light at a time and only worked successfully one time then just shuts off all the lights (even though it only shows one connected) Buggy and fundamentally broken
I actually find this pretty useful for its main purpose: controlling Godox X system strobe settings through the X2T transmitter. Given the speed required to sync flash equipment It’s probably a long shot to expect Bluetooth to do the job reliably. Flash sync has to be immediate, lightning fast, and reliable over distance. Bluetooth was designed for less demanding purposes and especially for low power. Those who are unhappy with this app seem to want to sync flash with their smartphone cameras. Godox should probably stop positioning this as a phone camera flash app until they can provide a physical attachment to send the signals directly. But for just keeping track of Godox X system flash settings it does what it says.
Really thought I could sync a speed lite with a phone using a Godox X2T, will be returning this as it won’t even sync using an iPhone XR and it was my only reason for using the X2T
This app does nothing that the small remote control doesn’t do, and it is much less convenient. It can’t even power the lights on or off. Plus it’s pathetically broken, and has terrible instructions. I was hoping to be able to set the brightness of two LED lights (VL300 and VL150) individually then control them together as a constant ratio pair. The Help pictures suggest that this is possible, but sadly no such luck. BTW, for those still struggling, the default Bluetooth password is 000000 (six zeros) which I had to guess at since the instructions are so useless. Nowhere does it say that you must connect by Bluetooth to one (doesn’t matter which) of your LED lights before you can control any of the lights. My advice if you are using LED lights is to skip this POS and just use the little remotes.
It can adjust flash/ strobe levels from smart phone, sort of nice, but slower than just reaching for controller and changing levels there. Absolutely doesn’t work to take photos with OCF from iPhone. Camera portion of the app is horrific. So much potential... Godox may as well remove Bluetooth from their devices. It’s a waste of ... everything if this is the means to control it.
Stopped syncing flash with ios13. Flash fires but doesn’t sync so.... no flash in picture. Terrible support/website.
This app crashes as soon as I take a picture on the XS Max.
Theirs good things possible with these tools raw is a must !
They is this so bad?! The A1 has such promise to be good! Why can’t I use my iPhone 7 Plus telephoto lens? Flashes are not meant to be used with wide angle lenses, you need to get this working!
