Hatch Sleep

Maybe I have misunderstood, but isn’t this device supposed to help you sleep, not the other way around? In offline mode the sound breaks up rendering the device useless. Good luck bringing it to a new location without Wi-Fi. You guys have officially made my wife dependent on a stable wifi connection to be able to Sleep (+ me fidgeting for a couple of hours to get the device working or risk getting my head chewed clean off my neck). This must be single worst piece of tech ever created by man. Of all the ways to spend my time, fidgeting with a device like this is pretty far down my list. As a software developer I should be able to figure this out. A product like this that has absolutely no value unless it is so simple my grandma could use it. You guys have a long ways to go before I would recommend this product to anyone.

Crazy I bought this and they want 50-60 a year to use it. It’s a nightlight with a speaker on it for christ sake.

Everything was fine and then we had an update and now instead of automatically connecting to the machine I have, it takes me to the home page to choose device and then it says it wasnt found and couldn’t connect. I restarted everything abd reset my wifi and nothing so now it’s just stuck on one mode. How disappointing for such a pricey item.

The most over engineered over complicated sound machine. It’s completely useless and everything they designed and built is unnecessary. And there is a monthly subscription too if course.

Every time I try to use my hatch, I am prompted to update the app. After hours of waiting, deleting and reinstalling, the app still won’t update. I cannot use my hatch.

This app / new Hatch is horrible compared to the first Hatch. The first one just completely died on me for no reason so we bought what we thought would be the newer better version. It doesn’t stay on for the duration of time EVER, connection problems happen every single day and it’s not our WiFi because internet is running fine for all other devices connected to it. My child’s sleep was so good on the first Hatch and now her entire routine is messed up because this new Hatch won’t stay on. I literally want to chuck it out the window.

Took free features and put them behind a paywall. Can’t wait to not use your product ever again and tell all other parents to do the same

I got the rest+ 2nd generation for my newborn and I can’t get past the first set up question on the app. So now the device is useless.

I too am having the issue now where several of the free sounds have stoped working properly for the past few weeks. First the morning alarm with one of the bird songs stopped going off in the morning. Switched it to bells and that one works fine. Now at night it plays 2 seconds of sea waves before just stopping all together—but the light in that phase stays on. It used to have an occasional skip where it would start back up after a glitchy few seconds but now it just doesn’t play sound at all after the initial few seconds. Calming ocean also stopped working, as well as the beach one and several of the white noises. It seems all of the relaxing ocean themed sounds are broken except sea wind, which is loud wind. Eventually I found the one with Maine sounds still works but that one mixes relaxing wave sounds with boat engines and screaming birds a few minutes in. lol. I’ve tried their FAQ which ultimately suggests I buy a new cord, but if a new cord was needed wouldn’t there be an issue with all sounds? I’ve tried deleting my routine and creating a new one and still get the glitch with most of the free sounds. I’ve also hard and soft reset the device. I was already frustrated at the cost of the device and then the exorbitant cost of the subscription on top of it , which mentions new sounds are being frequently added but there has been no new content in years at least in the version of the app I have for the restore. Now that the sounds are not working at night I highly recommend people pick a more reliable and upfront device instead of the Hatch.

very buggy app makes this product useless. my husbands $15 battery clock goes off every day and yet i can't rely on this pricey, over engineered junk. no longer connects so my hatch can't even tell time anymore lol
