Quite literally the worst app ever. It crashes all the time, logs me out, plays two videos at the same time,… only reason i still use it is because it has good reality shows but if there was any other app with the same shows i would never use Hayu again.
My hayu account is connected to my facebook profile. I have once again been locked out of my account and every time I try to log in via my facebook profile I receive an error message. My email/apple accounts can’t be used to login even though my subscription is via apple. This is the second time it has happened. The previous time I was locked out for weeks on end and didn’t receive any help even though I emailed multiple times. The customer support is also nearly impossible to contact.
The worst app out there. It bugs all the time and features either don’t work or the app just shuts down. If you pair a tv, it unpairs so you have to pair it every time. Overall, one of the worst streaming apps out there. The only reason I keep it is bc there is no other app out there offering streaming of shows on bravo etc That’s what keeps them in business I think.
Love the amount of shows Hayu has to offer, I am however not always able to stream all of these shows. Very often times “an error has occurred” will appear and there’s nothing I can do to make it work. Also the subtitles of closed captions aren’t supported by airplay. They will remain on my phone and not appear on the television. With chrome cast they work fine but they overlap the in-show closed captions that occasionally appear which makes it illegible. This app has a lot to offer but I would like to see it live up to its full potential. Thank you.
You can download episodes but when you try to watch them offline (airplane mode when traveling) the app crashes after 2 episodes! Super frustrating and the answer from customer service is that it’s normal because to watch downloaded episodes you need network (which makes no send because if I have network I can just stream them). Downloading episodes is also a hassle (bugs for no reason with warning sign and episode not downloading)
I love this app so much!! The only thing that sucks is that every day when you stop watching for a while and want to reopen the app it doesn’t work anymore. The app will not open again until I uninstall and reinstall it again…. Sucks a lot… Can you work on this? but except for that I’m amazed 🥰

Chromecast option suddenly doesn’t work anymore since my paid subscription started😓
This is now the 2nd time where I have paid and am subscribed, but the app is demanding that I subscribe. And you cannot message anyone for help because the so-called log-in screen on the website doesn’t actually let you log in. Just keeps going in a circle. I literally have the app in my paid subscriptions. Deleting and adding it again does not work. Unsubscribing and re-subscribing also does not work. It only double charges me and the issue remains on the app. Re-starting the phone does nothing. It’s literally just the app being crap.
