Easy to do
I normally use the App but had to use telephone services as I was transferring a large amount which was flagged as fraudulent and the app was suspended from use. I understand and appreciate this extra vigilance but was disgusted by the service. It was an expensive call from Ireland to the uk which took forever as the customer service assistant was incompetent at his job. Communication was poor, unclear and what should have taken a few minutes took 30 minutes. In addition the quality of call was appalling as there was constant background noise of other calls and hissing. I’m sure he was a very nice man and did save himself by the end as he stayed on the line while I completed my transaction to make sure everything went through. Spend money on your training and customer focus as this was a very poor example.
As soon as I open the app and it displays the HSBC logo it crashes. I deleted and reinstalled the app. I put in my user ID and password then it says it will send an activation code. No code arrived. Last time I had to deal by phone with HSBC it took 10 phone calls totalling 1h 19 minutes over a 16 day period to sort out my issue. Not looking good.

Great idea but sadly not available for non Uk payments and when you do use it the system crashes
The most user unfriendly banking app I’ve ever used. Will not take correct memorable answers! Keeps asking for the same memorable answer and never asks for an alternative! Will not work on iPhone 12. Cannot delete app from phone. Cannot access my online banking! Such a stressful experience resulting in lengthy calls to customer service which results in resetting all my details. I have called customer service at least six times in four months. Only ever a temporary fix and never a permanent workable solution. This app is a nightmare to use!
