Log on quickly and securely
Face ID and Touch ID mean you can use your face or fingerprint to quickly log on to the HSBC UK Mobile Banking app, without having to enter a password.
Once you’re logged on, our Digital Secure Key gives you added protection against the threat of fraud. To authorise transactions, you just generate a code using a PIN or password or with Face ID or Touch ID on supported devices.
Pay & transfer
The HSBC UK Mobile Banking app lets you send money to family or friends using their account details or mobile number. Pay bills with pre-populated bank details for hundreds of major businesses. And instantly move money between your personal accounts.
Mobile statements
With the HSBC UK Mobile Banking app you can securely access your current account, savings and credit card statements.
Mobile cheque deposits
The HSBC UK Mobile Banking app lets you pay in cheques without going to a branch by selecting the account, entering the value then scanning the front and back of the cheque. Please keep any cheques until they show in your account. You can pay in one or more cheques up to a limit of £2,000 per day. Cheques deposited before 10pm on a working day will be available by 11:59pm the next working day.
Block your card
Ever lost your card, only for it to turn up the moment you cancelled it? With the HSBC UK Mobile Banking app you can place a temporary block on your card with just a few taps. It will stay blocked until you unblock it or it can be reported as lost or stolen.
Live chat
Need help or assistance? Select 'Chat with us' in the Support menu and, if you’re a Digital Secure Key user, we’ll send you an alert when we reply. So you're free to get on with your day.
Gambling restriction
You can choose to restrict transactions made to gambling businesses, such as casinos and online betting companies, and recurring transactions such as The Postcode Lottery. The block only applies to individual cards held in your name.

Good bank app
HSBC bank app (for iPhone) is easy to use and very convenient when I need to transfer money or make a payment on the go. It's definitely easier to manage my money on the phone app than the computer app. The fact that every few months I need to login again is an impediment but luckily it's easily overcome.

Decent app for day to day money management. Sometimes frustrating gaps in records between account view and statements, especially mortgage.

Stuck in the 80s
Unable to transfer amounts other banks allow Unable to pay my rent because the bank now mis-routes payments that had worked for years (it’s been 6 weeks and no fix yet). Can’t wait to test the U.K. switching service.

One out of every 10 times I try to open the app is service available. Other times it keeps saying service is not available. This happens at all times of day and on both my phone and my wife’s phone, and it’s been happening for months. They need to fix this!
