Log on quickly and securely
Face ID and Touch ID mean you can use your face or fingerprint to quickly log on to the HSBC UK Mobile Banking app, without having to enter a password.
Once you’re logged on, our Digital Secure Key gives you added protection against the threat of fraud. To authorise transactions, you just generate a code using a PIN or password or with Face ID or Touch ID on supported devices.
Pay & transfer
The HSBC UK Mobile Banking app lets you send money to family or friends using their account details or mobile number. Pay bills with pre-populated bank details for hundreds of major businesses. And instantly move money between your personal accounts.
Mobile statements
With the HSBC UK Mobile Banking app you can securely access your current account, savings and credit card statements.
Mobile cheque deposits
The HSBC UK Mobile Banking app lets you pay in cheques without going to a branch by selecting the account, entering the value then scanning the front and back of the cheque. Please keep any cheques until they show in your account. You can pay in one or more cheques up to a limit of £2,000 per day. Cheques deposited before 10pm on a working day will be available by 11:59pm the next working day.
Block your card
Ever lost your card, only for it to turn up the moment you cancelled it? With the HSBC UK Mobile Banking app you can place a temporary block on your card with just a few taps. It will stay blocked until you unblock it or it can be reported as lost or stolen.
Live chat
Need help or assistance? Select 'Chat with us' in the Support menu and, if you’re a Digital Secure Key user, we’ll send you an alert when we reply. So you're free to get on with your day.
Gambling restriction
You can choose to restrict transactions made to gambling businesses, such as casinos and online betting companies, and recurring transactions such as The Postcode Lottery. The block only applies to individual cards held in your name.

Can’t see all transactions since last statement
Only shows latest transaction and doesn’t generate statement till outgoing transaction made
Almost entirely useless!
Won’t allow me transfer any funds and after hours talking with their experts (in the Phillipines) they have no idea why. All I can use it for is to generate an access code for internet banking. Almost entirely useless!
Extraordinary banking app
Extremely helpful, efficient and easy banking
Fraud and the bank
My wife and I opened a joint account 31 May at the Guildford branch. We have had great service from this branch however the fraud squad appear to be over zealous. We have had to go in as my digital profile was locked and we have been unable to get money to a decorator who has completed a job for us on our flat in Haslemere. We have had to go in twice to rectify these issues. Last attempt was by Sunny she contacted the fraud squad for us, she was also poorly treated. As far as we were all concerned the problem was solved and the money was on the way. Unfortunately about an hour or two later we get another call from the fraud squad and again we got the third degree. Hopefully this time the money is on its way but I’m not confident you need to look at the way you treat people.
Transferring some money for the first time on the app
I asked for some help via the chat as I hadn’t transferred money before using the phone app & wanted to make sure I was doing it correctly. The chat was really helpful and gave me really good instructions so I felt more confident that I was proceeding correctly. The transfer to another UK bank account went through very smoothly … thank you for your assistance. I would recommend this to anyone as by following the instructions I felt happier doing it on my own, especially as I was using this facility for the first time! Thank you HSBC.
Notifications show up for no reason
Every time I use chat in this app, then notifications will show up forever although I’ve read all the messages and it is annoying thing that developers can’t fix for a very long time.

An excellant service with great international links
can’t register for online banking
with my 2020 iphone se and the latest app. guy at hsbc branch couldn’t make it work either so he just said app was buggy and gave me a physical key which is annoying to carry around for online banking
