Hubdoc FAQ
Is Hubdoc free?
Yes, Hubdoc is completely free and it doesn't have any in-app purchases or subscriptions.
Is Hubdoc legit?
⚠️ The Hubdoc app has poor ratings and negative feedback. Users seem unsatisfied with its performance or features.
I had high hopes when I saw that this product was a Xero product. Then I opened the app and thought ‘it’s this app actually legitimate’? The interface text is very amateur compared with their main product. I couldn’t scroll up to the menu, and it was very slow. It’s a real shame because this has a lot of potential and could make life very easy for Xero customers, and it probably wouldn’t take much for a Xero developer to fix it!
So Bad
My accountant told me to use this program as I use Xero and I’ve spent hours on it and just given up! Doesn’t load docs on to Xero or and so glitchy. Just painful
Glorified receipt camera
This app is a glorified camera for receipts. Once a receipt has been captured, the app is basically useless.
So much better now and great to use!
Hubdoc have really improved their app and experience and it is so much better now. Photos are easy to take and expenses also easy to allocate. I hope they continue to improve on their product, this is a great competitor to Dext.
2 factor verification is a joke
Lost me once u made this too hard to use
Worse than ever. Quicker to email a photo
This app makes the process of photographing and uploading an invoice or Bill much more painful than it has ever been before. The two factor authentication prompting every single time you open. The app is utterly painful..
Wow, this app is poor!
Unfortunately, the old saying is true - “you get what you pay for”. But as an included feature, that your Xero subscription is paying for, I expect more from Xero.
The app is highly limited. It just allows you to take an an image, or upload a receipt/invoice/bill where the app then uploads to the server where some very basic OCR identifies Business Name, Date, Total cost and Tax. You can also add Tags and Notes. Does it allow you to create an Expense? Upload multi images? Manually edit the Business Name or Tax field or Date or Total if the OCR doesn’t recognise it or gets it wrong? NO!
My guess is you may be able to edit from within the desktop app but this app is too limited to be of any great benefit. For the limited features this app provides it would have been much better for Xero to add the features to their Xero app to provide an easy workflow. Unfortunately. a poor acquisition decision by Xero.
Worst app ever
I can’t even upload photos anymore
Terrible app!
Give yourself about 3 hours for this app to start, also constantly signs itself out…
Shocking useless app
This app recognises nothing at all on a simple receipt, all data has to be entered manually.
Might as well use the photo of receipt function in xero. Not worth 1 star !
