I signed up for a $20 monthly subscription with HubSpot to evaluate whether it was the right software for my real estate company. After using it for two months, I decided it wasn’t a good fit for my needs. However, my experience with their customer service and cancellation policy has been extremely disappointing. Initial Issues: Despite being assured at the beginning that I could cancel my subscription at any time, I later discovered that HubSpot had tied me to an annual contract that I did not agree to or sign. When I tried to cancel the subscription, I was informed that I would need to pay for the full year. Customer Service I reached out to their customer service multiple times, both via phone and email, in hopes of resolving this issue. Despite their initial reassurances, I was repeatedly told that I could not cancel my subscription or delete my account without paying for the entire year. HubSpot continued to charge me for three months after my initial request to cancel. Their cancellation and account deletion process seems deliberately complicated and misleading. Based on my experience, I strongly advise against using HubSpot. Their cancellation policy and customer service practices feel deceptive and make it difficult for users to discontinue their service. If you're considering HubSpot, be very cautious and ensure you fully understand their terms and conditions before committing.
