Sim binding : closing account

Absolutely no regards to the full user base. I can’t use the app even on the iPad. I’m not able to even use web login banking on the phone, just force opens the app! I have decided to leave the bank and just ridiculous. Was really happy with the bank and the NRI relationship manager. Poor technical choices and even worse execution. Also, there are other ways to secure and fingerprint the device other that sim binding using SMS. Can I do zero stars for the app and 5 stars for the RM?

A poor judgement to have this on NRI accounts as well. If the integration of SIM was to be done for all account for security a better would have worked, you cannot expect NRI’s to send International SMS each time they have to register to the app? Why couldn’t you have local numbers for each location for the SMS, that wouldn’t impact the NRI’s and wouldn’t require for them to have international SMS services on the SIM. Real frustration and IDFC’s loss as I’ve requested to close the account. The key for me is technology and being able to manage my money on finger tips, rather to have online net banking initiated each time to check for balance! I was happy with IDFC until they’ve decided to make it a complicated process within the new world of technology driven society.

SIM binding

Your decision to use mandatory SIM binding can be an inconvenience to several users who don’t have a sim attached to their phone or have a different sim on the phone. This is specially the case with NRI customers who juggle multiple sims. I don’t use a SIM card on my phone with all the banking apps, just for added security against sim hacks. I appreciate the effort to offer security, but it should not be at an inconvenience to the user. Of the 14 banking apps I use globally yours is the only one with SIM binding. You should roll back this feature and make it optional. Your app already has a poor rating. Features like this make me rethink about even having an account with you and eventually you will loose customers

What rubbish you guys have developed, Since last two days I am trying to login . To send money . I tried more than 20 time and every time I got message saying you are not connected to internet. Please have thorough testing of your app …. Unsatisfied customer
