Twice now I have paid priority fees, delivery fees, and service fees to receive the wrong items. Not being able to drive, I had to order again and pay all of those fees AGAIN - and they would not reimburse me for them (I talked to customer service). They reimbursed me for the wrong item but would not for all of the fees I had to pay TWICE just to get what I needed. Has happened twice in the last year. Will not use again. Uber Delivery is much more accommodating.
no refund even you did not use it
i wanted to get a refund of my membership that i did not use because we moved to another country they wont give even if prorated. i only used the trial period after we decided to
move in the US. don't be fooled by the trial week.
Not worth it at all
I was offered a free trial from instacart. Super convenient because my car was out of commission so that was my best bet. I cancelled my trial after activating it so I wouldn’t be charged for the subscription that I knew I’d have no use for. There’s a spot on the website and app that allows you to control your membership. It doesn’t actually work. Customer service informed me that despite this being a feature you have to contact them to have them cancel it. They refuse to correct their error. They actually called me, hours after our interaction just to inform me again that I wouldn’t be getting that money back. It’s absolutely ridiculous. I’d give 0 stars if that was an option.
Could be better
I don’t find this app horrible my problem is contacting customer service. You don’t have chat available in the app which would be great. I can’t find any way to contact anybody to tell them. I can’t even scroll to choose I want a refund if my item is unavailable. Which causes potential problems in my order I don’t want substitutions and if I do, I want to be able to pick, but that part isn’t functioning properly. I’m on a 10th generation iPad so it’s not my iPad. And by my reading, I’m not the only person who would like to have an easier way to access customer support. Get a chat system and stop relying on social media!
Inconsistent, unreliable, poor service
I always keep giving them a chance but I'm deleting the app today. They continuously make mistakes with the orders, (wrong items, smashed food, missing items, missing orders, you name it). I never had so much trouble with a company before.
Extra charges
There are a lot of issues with the way they charge
1. The prices of ALL the items have added cost and are not same as the store
2. Bag was 33 cents and they charged 81 cents.
3. Items that the grocers pick are not good quality..
4. Support is lame
Was using this for a while until I realize, I'm paying 10$ more for a 26$ order!
App will wrongfully bill you- watch out
When using gift cards the app sometimes auto bills credit cards on file even when you select credit at checkout . They won’t revert chargers to keep you buying and spending more from Instacart . Be aware .
Bunch of scammers
Please if you know what’s good for you don’t use this app. They will charge you extra for no reason and if you try to report to them they will act like they don’t know what’s happening

Refer a business and get $$ is a scam
I referred a business and didn’t get any credits in my account. Person I referred received 1 year Instacart membership and place an order more than $100 and I got nothing. I spoke to customer service rep and they said promo didn’t apply.
Do not refer anyone.
