Title says it all
Set up and completed opening of account in my personal email address. Subsequently, the app (iOS and iPadOS) wouldn’t let me sign in as “no account under that name exists”. When trying to reset or get new password or create a new account I am told that “account already exists” under my email address. - An email has been sent to their U.K. customer service and is still awaiting a response (response times also a little abysmal, I noticed yesterday, when simply just requesting monthly email updates). - Doesn’t bode well to experience such hiccups right at the beginning (I know: first steps … but Ionity are not that young to the game, and should be absolutely spot-on re apps, their use, and security). Methinks it wiser at this stage simply to go via Audi a/c or simply just credit card when charging EVs. Response from IONITY: “uninstall and try again”. Useless! Calling them on a par. Outcome: There’s no interest in developing this app further, I gather. QR code scan and c/c payment enough for them to keep cost down; also, Audi/BMW/etc. offer their own payment cars/apps for this. This was a waste of time.
IONITY is by far the best network!!!
Stopped at Gretna Green for a quick top up only to find one charger out of order. Apparently has been U/S for some time. Had to wait 15 minutes for one to come available.
Poor reset for email app is very difficult to use
Working well and reasonably fast charge at 47kw. No where near what is advertised!
I am at the 350kW charger. I tried the app for the first time and it’s telling me both my wife and my email addresses are already registered, but it won’t allow either of us to re-register or reset our passwords. So, we scan the QR code on the charge station (because it says that contactless payment is not currently supported), and we have to input all our details on the website and then it is only charging at 37kW, inexplicably. It then disconnects us after a few minutes and we have to do the whole thing again. We changed to a different machine and it’s no different. A few other EV users turn up, mess about with the chargers for a few minutes and drive off - so I don’t think it’s just us. I can’t fully delete the app in order to start again. What’s the point of these “fast” chargers if they’re not delivering anything close to the 350kW that is advertised?!
Travelling for the first time in Europe with an EV - the Ionity network and system literally saved us!
Superb service from the customer support, charging was very quick and easy to use
