And at 3 days/week not too onerous.
But overall still a handy little app to build strength and muscle. Just go into it knowing that once you hit a certain point you will be needing to repeat that week’s exercise a LOT of times before progressing to the next one.
A great, simple app let down by the fact that the rest period between sets increases by 30 secs every session. The result is that if you work out three or four times a week, within a couple of weeks you accrues 3,4,5 minute rest periods between each set and can only get around this by manually adjusting it each time. I’ve raised it a couple of times and been assured that it’ll be addressed but it hasn’t been. This is very frustrating and spoils an otherwise excellent app.
I had use the app before and it didn’t work out however it was all my fault; barely any sleep, unhealthy eating, going on and off the app. However on February the 7th I started again (this year) and have already increased my total max from 56 - 77 in 11 days (today was week 2 day 3) I put my max reps at 25 and the programming was wonderful, many times I get like it was impossible when it says 19+ at the end but I always manage. The results speak, and it’s fluent in facts. This app will get you to 100 push-ups. I’m already at 77. Hopefully by week 6 I will be at 115. Eventually when you restart it, you might be Able to do 100 push-ups in a Set! Hater turned believer - MarzyBarLMAO
Great app but I’m doing push-ups and started to fail around week 3 and had to do same day again Would consider buying a membership but it is a subscription rather than an outright buy
Whilst I’d recommend this as a simple and effective habit forming app that can easily support growth and tone, it helps not to go into this process expecting that the timeframes are realistic. The ramp up in reps is far too rapid for muscle growth to keep up, so don’t feel downbeat if you don’t. Just keep up the habit.
Seriously, 15-20% increase every session makes very little sense. Definitely not every time for weeks. App is nice and easy otherwise, just feels like a bot planned the scale up and not people
Only the press-up plan is included for free. I’ll maybe pay for the others when I complete that if I find it works for me.
I had previously paid the one-off payment of ~£5 for the old pro version of this app, and i was tricked into believing that the new version might be better. I found instead that I only had access to 1 exercise and that it would cost £4.45 monthly to access any of the others! Such a terrible decision from the developers. This app has gone from one that I recommended to everybody; a great, simple fitness app, that would really motivate beginners to exercise; to being deleted from my phone.
