Getting into Linux I didn’t expect an app like this to work so well, but I was happily mistaken. Love the ability to control the mouse from my iPhone

BEST LOCAL / WIFI FILE SHARE

By far the best app for sharing files, especially photos and PDFs or similarly small files. The fact it’s open source and not-for-profit also means the code gets vetted by multiple people and it’s more private. AMAZING! It works across my Windows 11 Desktop, Linux laptop, Apple iPad 8, and iPhone 13 flawlessly!! The 1 and only usability issue is the lack of progress indicator but other than that it’s PERFECT. In the end, this is a must-have for anyone who uses non-Apple devices with their iPhone / iPad / Mac. Keep it up developers, you’re doing amazingly!

Really glad that this app exists, especially since Dell Mobile Connect is being discontinued. The notifications from my iPhone don’t seem to be syncing to my computer though (and it would be great to be able to use it while connected to VPNs) :(

Almost perfect

The app is great and I absolutely love the remote trackpad, but I wish there were support for multi-touch gestures and click and hold. I also wish it would have a remote keyboard, a second display function (to use my iPad as a 2nd screen for my laptop) and a cpu power state manager built into the app. Other than that, no issue and I'm thinking about switching to kubuntu because of this app.

Amazing

Have been waiting for this for a long time!

It worked before iOS_16.5

Apple did something to prevent KDE Connect from functioning with 16.05 and later releases of its pseudo “operating system.” Using iPhone or iPad does not matter. The problem is definitely with Apple and their “walled garden.” Apple needs to get with the program and knock down their wall. Or the users will do it for them by leaving. I know this is not a problem on the Linux side because I have two instances of Linux running on two separate computers and they connect and transfer files with KDE Connect as intended. Anyone know what would make a good Linux phone and a good Linux tablet?

Great open source app

This app is awesome. I needed a phone remote to connect to my Linux laptop and this app works seamlessly. I’m super impressed with how good it is. I haven’t tried the other features of the app, but the remote alone makes this app deserve a five star rating. Excellent app and I hope to see new features developed.
