My first and my last kickstarter
I did know that I have to be patient, but my first experience with kickstarter was quite bad. I trusted the kickstarter “project we love“ label and the project I trusted then, was unfortunately really disappointing so far. I backed for a project last year, and it was promised to be shipped in January. I completely understand the delay due to corona, but the main problem is, I feel like the project organisers keep constantly lying to us. Of course it could have been worse like not answering the comments and messages at all… luckily they are quite quickly and polite with responding. But that’s not enough when they can’t keep up with their promises. Also I’ve never paid extra 200$ for shipping costs, that was really shocking… Now I‘m getting more and more nervous what I still have to pay when the product will be imported and that the product, if I will ever receive it, also won’t work like promised… and that were exactly my fears about backing a kickstarter. I also missed the promised „love“ in the project, it was not like I expected a kickstarter to be, the whole procedure was pretty standard and we had to write a lot of comments to get the needed information… I‘m sad to leave you just one star here… I will delete my account if I ever receive the product because I feel helpless and I‘m really frustrated and disappointed.
90% are sadly SCAM
What was a very interesting platform to support new products has become sadly mostly scam so that the maybe good stuff is loosing support as well
Got scammed and kickstarter does not help
Me and many other people got scammed by a german company named cell garden. When I contacted kickstarter they told me to report the project and they‘ll help me get light into the dark. But ever since then kickstarter does not respond to any of my mails or anything.
Would give 0 stars if thats possible.

Ich musste dreimal das ganze Prozedere durchmachen, bevor es endlich geklappt hat. Kann nur hoffen, dass mein Beitrag jetzt nicht dreimal abgebucht wird. Sonst tolle Sache!
Kickstarter supports scam & makes money of it
I funded two projects that turned out to be a huge scam and Kickstarter won’t do anything or answer for us as users, on the contrary.
From a certain moment on the makers of the campaign just took the money and disappeared - no communication, no updates,…..
A lot of people asked kickstarter to do something or declare the project a scam but they never did. Some of the backers got to ask for a chargeback on their credit cards with their bank but Kickstarter disputed the payment saying that “this is the risk of supporting projects on their site.”
There's no chance of success in a lawsuit. We all gave money to the campaign and ticked the box acknowledging we might not get a reward, so we don't have a contract with anybody.
That's why we backers need KickStarter to be more proactive in vetting Creators and monitoring campaigns, and feeding back directly to backers when appropriate, which they don’t do.
Please beware if you are going to fund something on Kickstarter, because if it turns out to be a scam, then there’s nothing you’ll be able to do to get your money back.

quite a bunch of scammers on here and nobody governs the platform to hold them accountable.
also no paypal possible- that makes it a lot easier to rip off backers. its really a shame as this is a real good basic idea getting ruined by cons...
