Support from Kickstarter when a creator scams client which happens regularly is non-existent. Kickstarter will completely stand back and totally ignore backers. Advise steer clear and purchase from retailers when items become available. There are of course super creators but Kickstarter providing NO protection for buyers ruins the process.

As much as I’d like to support the idea, Kickstarter really isn’t worth it. Out of 11 independent projects I’ve backed, 6 straight up just didn’t deliver on their project. It’s turned from a platform to support cool projects to a literal scammers haven, with no repercussions for their actions.

Please add fail mode, a bit bright white screen at night is a horrible experience experience!

KS have facilitated scam artists and fraudsters and there is no due diligence on their behalf. They do not help to recover the ‘stolen’ money. They are a shameful operation and need to take responsibility for their service Do not use their service!

Backed numerous projects over the course of a few years. But lately have backed four or five products that literally took my cash and were very communicative up until the day the project got funded. Then the campaign owners just stop communicating and disappear. Kickstarter won’t do anything about any of these scam artists and take no responsibility. So I’ll never use it again and you should be warned too

U don’t get any product

Very polished app. Some great ideas and products. However after using it for 3 years and funding almost 20 items, about a third have not delivered. Either they have failed to complete the product or say it has been sent (but never arrives) and then don’t provide a replacement. In the latter, the comments are full of people with the same issue. Kickstarter themselves are no help and say it is up to you to do all the research and to chase the developer. They don’t use PayPal which makes it harder to get money back. Use it to look for ideas and then buy them elsewhere if possible where you have actual rights to fall back on if the seller doesn’t fulfil. You have nothing to fall back on with Kickstarter.

Nice App, very slick storefront but I have been totally burned a number of times where campaigns have taken my money and not delivered on their promises. Beware Kickstarter does not care or help in these cases, think hard before sinking your cash into any campaign.

The last update has ruined this app. Gone is the side scrolling view of projects with just enough information to be replaced with a vertical scrolling view of projects with too much information. Before you could skip through projects easily but now it is too much effort.
