Scaremongering parents
I downloaded this app because I wanted some help with teaching my 6mo how to sit.
Immediately I was shocked to see an annual subscription was nearly £60!! For what!? Some videos!?
I decided to do the free trial to see if it could help. It immediately asked me loads of questions about thinks my baby *should* be doing at this age which was terrifying as she wasn’t doing some of them. Fortunately I’m a second time mum so I know every baby develops at their own pace but this app could definitely scare some parents into thinking there’s something wrong with their baby.
After I was through the questionnaire I was thrown into this convoluted app with no explanation of how it works or what I should be doing. I searched for “sitting” but there was only a video encouraging toddlers how to sit on a step which is not what I wanted.
Parents: don’t get this app and definitely don’t give them any money. Lots of play on the floor and lots of interaction with you is all they need to develop at their own pace. The creators of this app are just trying to scare parents into giving them money
Free version is awful
Everything is locked. You can see a plan but it’s all locked. They just keep trying to sell you paid version. Don’t get it if you want free version
Can not open the app
I have been enjoying using the app daily but today it won’t let me open the app, it just goes back to my phone home page.
PAID for App masquerading as free. Untrustworthy!
I understand that apps need to make money, but I take exception to the way this app attempts to trick people.
To use the app, you must sign in, provide all your details agree to terms and conditions. At this point there is zero indication that payment will be required to use the app. However, all features are locked until a £8 monthly fee is paid. This makes this a PAID app masquerading as free. Surely this is in breach of Apples Store guidelines??
Either way, I find it manipulative and disingenuous. Plus there is no way I will pay that large monthly fee without at least a trial period to confirm it is actually any good.
My advice is to avoid and seek another more genuine app.
Very pushy! Verge on desperate
Deleted the app. Since signing up they constantly push offers. Not sure what they do with your data - see other reviews about constant spam and not being able to opt out. Not sure if they are UK based, but the ICO should be looking into them.
App does not work proper and you can’t contact support
After an update part of the app stopped working for me. I am unable to view any event in the calendar and participate in any activity even though I am paying. I don’t have the free version.
I am also unable to contact support as after clicking on “contact support” I receive an error telling me to link an email to my iPhone account, which I of course have. To my surprise I am unable to see the actual support email address so I could contact developer from my email outside of their app.
Horrible spam
I’ve unsubscribed to these emails so many times, but they keep spamming my inbox. Absolutely horrible company.
Loading issue sorted
App gives you so many ideas on what to do with your baby and it really has helped in his development. I had a loading issue and developer went above and beyond to get it sorted for me. Recommend.
Useless
First the app did not work right after installing it.
In spite of me deleting the app from my phone and unsubscribing from their mailing list, they keep sending me marketing content.
If I could give 0 star as a score I would have.
Don’t get it if you don’t have time to use it
I did the trial but then when your living with a little one I had forgot in the day to day routine to cancel it so I’ve wasted money on this app and don’t even have time to use it
Wouldn’t recommend getting this app as can’t see how anyone in a busy day gets time to do these activities.
