Edit. Gave up on this shambles, the new app worked for a while - but for the past year WILL NOT connect. Must go down as one of the worst client experiences ever! This update has made it worse, now my phone and it’s signal always show zero, have lost all connectivity to the bike. Cheers for that KTM
Currently touring Europe with Beeline’s Moto II -
and comparatively it’s an absolute dream
Do better KTM, a lot, lot better
Having endured months of frustration at the My Ride app being killed and losing turn by turn nav on my dashboard, I have finally got it back via this app but what an absolute faff it is getting it to connect! It’s working albeit intermittently but why oh why is there no option to switch units from KM to Miles??? Seems poorly thought out at this stage - BUT it does work
Amazing! No really….
I read all the really poor reviews on this app and was really disappointed after spending so much on a SDR Evo. I’ve just come back from a 2000 mile ride in Spain with my great friend on his Ducati V4. selecting no motorways and twisty roads found some of the best roads I’ve ever ridden in my entire life (I’m 61 biking for 40 years) and that is no kidding for some reason Spain only has a few cars and lorries the roads are empty apart from a few cyclists and not a pothole in sight 100 mile an hour sweeping Road just blew me away. I even managed to get the navigation directions on the bike screen which the dealer couldn’t do for me.
I get the impression previous versions of this app have been terrible, but it looks like KTM have listened because I have zero complaints …. not one! for it to work you have to connect your phone to the bike and your headset wireless ideally to the bike think of the bike as the central hub then run KTMconnect on the phone and it just works….
Ktm duke 390 sat nav
I bought a Ktm duke 125 and when I took the bike for it’s service I was told the sat nav won’t work on a 125 duke and needs to be a 390 or bigger for the app to work for the sat nav so I bought a 390 duke and purchased the app and the app still won’t work for the sat nav so I was told lies from the Ktm dealership so no I don’t recommend the app at all
KTM will not last
If you think about a company that you want to invest in such as buying their product like a bike a car an appliance etc , you would hope they would show case the most reasonable product to be the best it could be .
Let me tell you this app is as bad as it gets and shows what ktm is all about , that is , take take as much money from its buyers as it can while not caring what they give them .
They still can not get that Cardiff, Glasgow, Swansea, Edinburgh or any town village is not in England ! KTM I’m directing this at you
Cardiff is in Wales Glasgow is in Scotland
For the love of all things please get rid of this piece of garbage and just copy the BmW app as that is FREE and works and it’s FREE. It can do so much more than this app FOR FREE. Your bikes reliability is almost as bad as this app and I love my 890 but this app is , lets be kind and just say it’s WORTHLESS
Good to have PARTSTREAM for your bike
Under bike “garage” it would be really good to have a detail HD PARTSTREAM shop.
Waste of time
My ride app missing on my new iphone. This app won’t recognise my vin number. Don’t bother with it as it’s complete waste of time. I want me tenner back
KTM RC 125
Just purchased this app to have navigation as I needed to get to my first service with my new KTM RC 125 GP 2023 but unfortunately it does not support that feature on this bike. Too bad there is no list of bikes in your description that support this feature on KTM app
Useless basically
Bought Connectivity Unit for my bike to use this and wouldn’t even connect the first 4, yes 4 phones I tried, even the dealer couldn’t get it to work. Bought an iPhone and it actually connected and the sat nav part started to work. Still can’t actually send or receive calls though🤬🤬🤬🤬
Paired with Quad Lock and Cardo Packtalk Edge
Update: decided to cancel my free trial. Connectivity problems with my Cardo still too frequent. Audio through the bike too quiet to overcome earplugs and wind noise so have to push instructions through phone Bluetooth. App forgets home location, picture and unit settings. Everything below still current. Works well with my 2023 Super Adventure S when it works. Bit of a challenge getting my Cardo, Phone and Motorbike to all work at first, but removing pairing and resetting did the trick. Switching between iPhone speaker and the headset has been an issue once or twice in getting turn by turn audio back in the headset. Switching off Bluetooth and back on resolved it. You can switch between miles (imperial) and km (metric) in settings despite what other review suggest. People also complain about the lack of visual map directions, however I use my Quad Lock phone mount with the KTM connect app, and they fail to mention that the app gives you the visual direction maps as well as the turn by turn on the motorbike display. Overall works well, and being able to control Navigation, Phone, Music from the switch gear is a big plus. All in all, really pleased with the KTM Connect app and will give the subscription a trial now that I know that it works really well for me.
KTM GRAB MONEY OFF THIER CUSTOMERS
Terrible behaviour. The Myride app worked well enough for many and was only £8.00 one off payment. It seems KTM got greedy and now deleted the my ride app and replaces with KTMconnnect. Better app functionality but now £60.00 a YEAR. But most importantly it doesn’t even connect to my 2018 super adventure screen anymore. Really poor customer service KTM. Not what I had hoped for.
