The minimalist light meter

Description

Lghtmtr is an incredibly simple light meter app to measure the amount of available light to determine the proper exposure for a photo.
Because of its simplicity, Lghtmtr is a great learning tool for students and those new to film photography to understand how exposure, aperture, ISO are interconnected as the app helps the user better visualize these connections.
Take a reading of a scene, and then the initial exposure settings are shown. When you adjust one value, the other values will update. At any time you can lock a value from changing. You can also review the image which your exposure settings are based on.

Good app

It worked perfectly fine but i think you should add zoom feature too, because when you use a 50mm+ sometimes it can make your image underexposed (in day light) or overexposed (at night)

The perfect companion for your Polaroid camera

Simple, straight-forward and privacy friendly, this app is great for metering the new Polaroid I-2 camera as well as the older Polaroid cameras (600, SX, 680) with ease. It’s one of a few apps that have the lockable ISOs for the film ( 160 ISO for SX-70 and 640 for 600 + i-Type) and I’m really impressed at how easy it is to use. It doesn’t have any ads, micro-transactions or those annoying ‘register to use’ or ‘premium’ features which is fantastic - and it’d be cool to see a tip jar to support the developer. Highly recommend.

This app weighs in at 6mb and is just perfect for working out setting combinations. Just take a shot and compensate if necessary, then switch to the settings for your iso/ss/fstop values — all adjustable and lockable.

Only one setting lock

mac maniac on

United Kingdom

This app is simple and effective but for my film photography I need ideally to be able to lock two settings (aperture or speed, and ISO) simultaneously. Hope this can be done in future update.

Brilliant app

Works every time, simple interface and easy to use. As a pro photographer I’m shooting film as well as digital and this is a reliable piece of kit!!!

Lacks functionality

Dazultrachallenge on

You can only lock 1 setting at a time (e.g shutter fstop or iso). It would be much better if you could lock 2 settings as having to readjust the iso each time is annoying.
