Fr to Ita is broken
Many french prompts do not reflect their italian equivalent. Feels like a broken clock. I wouldn’t recommend this app to any of my friends because of wrong translations.

Did the free trial and forgot to cancel. Signed me up for a whole year. Predatory business practice imo. Tbh I quite liked it and if they just charged me one month I probably would’ve recommended it to some people. Instead, I am an ardent hater.
I rarely write app reviews, but I cannot keep silent on how incredibly well this one is made! The interface is sleek, word collection is thorough, and statistics are actually interesting to watch. Moreover, even the tone of notifications is elegantly crafted – you don’t feel any extra pressure to maintain the learning effort. Thank you, developers 🔥
Where are the rest of the languages?
There are some languages where the slight differences are considered extremely ‘rude’ to use. Examples: Mitglieb/Mitarbeiter, Tomaten/Paradeisier, sackerel It would be nice to be able to signal that difference for those important regional modifications. Potatoes Kartoffeln Erdäpfel Tomatoes Tomaten Paradeiser Whipped cream Schlagsahne Schlagobers Apricots Aprikosen Marillen Cauliflower Blumenkohl Karfiol Pancakes Pfannkuchen Palatschinke Ground beef Hackfleisch Faschiertes
I’m so tied of Duolingo. This app gave me a geniune “wow” moment in the first 3 mins of use. The data-driven approach is much appreciated and allows me to see a genuine pathway to fluency!!! The speech checker is absolutely insane, it wants you to perfect your pronunciation and it’s greatly appreciated. There are also realistic texts/articles with exercises and soooo many other incredible resources. I would paid thousands for this service! And it’s only $100 annually 🤯
So much for that
I initially started learning French on this app, but then switched to Japanese. At that time they didn’t have this option. I did love that they asked for the feedback on what language to add and I suggested Japanese. And here it is! Appreciate the developers for listening to feedback. I’m back to learning Japanese with a renewed subscription here!
Well I’ve tried a couple of immersive language learning apps starting from RS then DL and a couple more. Insofar this app has the most appropriate and adaptive level and escalation of difficulty in materials, which are kept relevant to daily life - I mean who speaks any language starting w run/walk/swim/eat/drink ?? (IYKYK lol)
Can get the same lessons for free elsewhere. Free with ads > overpriced paid subscription. Only suckers will pay for this instead of real lessons. But there's enough suckers they can make money selling product worth $0 to them
