Unable to login

Disable LinkedIn on

Jamaica

Upon signing up for LinkedIn, I had no issues there was no asking for a certain personal information. I created an account about 2 to 3 days ago and I’ve been unable to log back in since . It’s now asking to verify my identity go through a full process, scan or verify ID your face etc. and then it’s still unable to log you back in. This isn’t the first time it’s happening so I’ve made a second account and it’s the same process you login you think you secure you think you think everything is going well and when you go back to check just to look over a few more jobs you’re unable to log back in asking to verify yourself. I went ahead to read the previous reviews. I saw that one other person had this problem so what I did was when I had to your contact center to see if there was anything that could direct me or help me in what’s happening unhelpful 🙄

Search feature unusable/ block button needed

Syndi Cyndi on

Jamaica

This used to be the best app for connecting with other professionals and job searching but it’s been frustrating to use over the last years. Give us an in app feature to block companies that we don’t want job vacancies from and don’t plan on ever working with/for. There are too many fake jobs appearing in the jobs search results. I’ve reset my preferences a million times and my recommendations are still being taken over by remote (turned that option off) jobs from foreign companies. I’ve seen the same companies posting the same vacancies weekly over and over for 6 plus months and those vacancies take up 99% of the search/ recommendations results. I have to scroll through dozens of these foreign companies to find the vacancies in my field and companies located in my area. The ones disguising ads for their websites as job listings isn’t even the biggest problem, it’s honestly these remote companies getting around the algorithm by posting the jobs as an in office job in specific cities then noting in the description that it’s a remote job causing them to show up in the search results. This was not my experience pre 2022. LinkedIn has been taken over by ghost jobs and companies possibly data mining due to the number of applications these listings get but never seem to fill the roles, rinse and repeat the same ad for months on end. Give us the option to block all current and future vacancies by companies that we don’t wish to work for or make the not interested in this job button do its job of never showing me that vacancy ever again… instead the jobs still come up in search results only difference is it shows a bit faded with a highlighted text letting me know I’m not interested in the post. That’s a useless feature.

Recovering my account is next to impossible! Most frustrating and challenging process ever implemented. I’m married and because my DL doesn’t match my profile name I’ve been restricted. If I can’t access the acount how will I make the necessary changes???
