Exclusive to Amex destroys its value
This seems a pretty good app that I wanted to book a few airline lounges on my travels. But it seems they sold out to Amex, so if you have Visa or Mastercard you can’t use it. That seems pretty stupid and a good reason for me to delete it.
Needs more
The app could use more fields. Price, rating, cheat sheets… Seems it doesn’t offer more than Google. Could be so much more.
No good
When you add a flight you can only choose between economy and premium economy. There’s no ability to add business or first class. These are the classes that provide access to lounges and this seems like a ridiculous oversight.
Not up to date
This app is not up to date anymore. Says a lot of lounges are closed or not available and they are. For Amex Card Priority Pass just use their app. You cannot rate or leave comments. Looks like comments are only up to 2019.
Need to Add Amex Priority Pass
Amex Platinum members get an unlimited Priority Pass however it does not allow Airport Restaurants. There is no choice to add this type of Priority Pass. Since Amex owns Lounge Buddy I assume not hard to make this happen?
Too buggy
This once helpful app is now too buggy and hasn’t been fixed for months. A large proportion of the functionality no longer works. So sad to see a great app bought out by another company and then run into the ground.
Only for infrequent travelers
The app is only useful if you don’t travel often and you’re happy to pay for entry to lounges. If you’re a frequent flyer (I do over 50 flights a year) you generally have access and know what to do. However, today I was flying on Air France out of Copenhagen I’m business class and didn’t know which lounge I could use. The Copenhagen airport signage is terrible and there’s no Sky Team lounge. But there are a ton of independent lounges. I tried Lougebuddy. It asked me to create a trip and put in my flights and travel class, so I did. It gave me options to pay for lounge access but didn’t know which one I could access for free as part of my ticket. I had to go to the information booth, where they told me which one to go to. LoungeBuddy wanted to sell me a very expensive pass to get in, but I had free access and LoungeBuddy should’ve known this since I entered my flight number, date, and business class. What a joke.
No point
I don’t see the point of this app. You can’t purchase access to nearly all the lounges, and access is very exclusive. The ones that you can...very expensive and have poor reviews. The cafes, bars and amenities available to the poor plebs at our airport are very good so no point to this really.
Lounge buggy
So full of bugs. Tried multiple times to add a simple set of return trip flights and it just crashes, randomly erases data and duplicates lounges between layovers.
No Amex, so can’t use it
After I downloaded I found out it only accepts Amex. Waste of time unless you have an Amex credit card, and didn’t look that cheap anyway.
Shame, looked like a good idea.
