(i) With M2U ID - simply log in with your M2U ID and all your M2U settings will be automatically synced with the MAE app.
(ii) Without M2U ID - register for one online on the Maybank2u website.
- Non-Maybank customers: skip the queue at the branch and sign up instantly with just your phone to enjoy all the benefits of a Maybank customer.
The MAE app will seek permission for the following:
i. Access to your camera to enable you to scan QR code and also upload documents when you apply for a new product or service.
ii. Access to your contact directory to give you the convenience of selecting your contacts when you make a transaction to a mobile number.
iii. Access to your location to offer you the most relevant food listings, marketing promotions or deals by our merchant partners while you are on the go.
iv. Access to your phone’s audio to enable you to make a direct call to the bank's hotline.
v. Access to your settings to enable push notifications to receive Secure2u alerts.

Unstable Suddenly corrupted often
Totally sucks
Why there’s 2 similar apps??? Because of this mess, I wasn’t able to transfer my money on time. Totally sucks. Can’t believe this is Malaysian’s largest bank. Useless app.
The favorite bank accounts did not exist
Cannot transfer money, since the favorite account cannot exist. Finally I pay with the M2U application. You need to correct the bug
Stuck at login
I was redirected to MAE for a fund transfer but I'm stuck at the login for as long as I can remember. Fix the app.
Useless to the core
I hope you bank die with this bank, useless, go to hell maybank
Why seperate apps?
The whole idea is for smooth transition. New features should been adopted into official app instead of a rebuild. Waste of time setting it up again. Also no support for password managers anymore.
Very bad transition experience from M2U app
It is already bad enough that you’re forcing people to move to MAE or else one could not receive secure verification, it is even worst when you not only force people to move to new app and force the person to wait for at least 12 hours before can make any transfer. What a “great” move. Absolutely terrible method to get people to migrate to new app.
