MapFactor Navigator is a free GPS navigation app with free offline maps from OpenStreetMaps (incl. free monthly maps update). You can navigate without an internet connection in 200+ countries. Intuitive voice turn-by-turn navigation in different languages, speed limits, camera warnings and many other useful features.

I used this app once in Carplay, and whilst the map view was OK, the instructions were abysmal and so fragmented that they were unintelligible. It also blanked out the radio. Sorry but it’s now deleted and I’m sticking with Waze.

Best free offline navigation app

Does what it says on the tin! In this world of constantly having to pay for useful features on so called "free" apps it's refreshing to find a navigation app that is actually usable in it's free version. Can't praise it enough. Sending a big thank you to the people at MapFactor. Your work is very much appreciated.

No bad for a free app.

As it goes, it does the job ok. A few things to note though. I have an issue where speech is incomplete and words are missed mostly at the start of a phrase. It is also a little slow to recalculate a route when you take a different road. Also going 360 degrees is a u turn to me so shouldn’t be part of a recalculated route if you have disabled u turns.

Very poor

The interface is about a decade behind, it’s a pain in the a** to use this app compared to its competitors. Don’t waste your money!

not working have downloaded but cannot use the map also home address cannot be set to my street only my town cannock frustrating

Absolutely fab App..., a comfy companion on your route

Ok

Great map, probably the best I’ve seen from an app but half of the postcodes I regularly go to don’t seem to be found on this app. Tried several times to input work address and post code doesn’t show up. Otherwise it’s pretty good.

Crap

Crap it don’t get you to were your going it makes go you to somewhere else or makes you bobble back and when you contact the maker he’s useless I bought it at £6.99 and that’s a lot of money for an app at that price It should work I had to ask Apple for my money back if it wasn’t for Apple Id be stuck with it if you want a good one I’d use google maps it’s never gone wrong yet or Waze or maps it’s lucky to get one star from me
