Downloaded this app several times to try and get it to work, added my smoker and deleted it several times. I keep getting told to press the power button on my smoker to be able to access the remote to set temps and timers but whenever I do it does nothing. App needs some serious help…
Decided to try the app for the first time, everything seem great at first. At some point in the middle of the night it stopped working. In the early morning I checked the app and it said the smoker was at 230 degrees. I went to check on the meat and the smoker had used up all the fuel and was at 57 degrees.
Well control head is inoperable, same every year. Once the warranty is done they are done and do not care about previous issues with there smoker. I’m on my own now. Start using industrial components they last longer. Can’t even give it away.
Got this smoker as a Christmas gift from the kids. My son has one already. He loves his and mine just blows my mind. Super easy to use and gives great results. I’m surprised at the small amount of smoke that escapes from the smoker. I’m also very happy that my kids got this on sale as a floor demo at a “start the car” price!
Need some serious TLC with the software have to reconnect to smoker every time I open the app. You can rarely set the temperature for your meat probe and it’s a shame on Masterbuilt for keeping an app this bad on the App Store without updating it or reading any of our reviews.
Don’t waste your time. The idea of the app is great but it never connects. Oddly the devices screen shows “connected” and the BBQ screen shows it is connected. Yet when you open the device it asks you to press the power button to activate the BBQ. I do that and nothing. Reboot the BBQ. Nothing. Repair the app to the BBQ and it says connected but same problem. MasterBuilt: be professional. Either don’t make an app at all or make one that works. This is garbage. My other BBQs always connect NO PROBLEM. This is the only one that does t work.
This app is 100% garbage. I take back anything positive I said about it earlier. Upon successful connection and shutdown the very next time you will have to completely restart the pairing mode to reconnect. Oh the app says it’s connected and all but blank screen is all you get. Yes I’m on the latest version and I’m using the 1050
Not sure what is wrong device will connect but can’t go any farther
App will keep disconnecting from unit while using. Masterbuilt get your head out of your asses and fix this. The Masterbuilt classic app works with no disconnect issue whatsoever
App will simply not work at all anymore for some reason. Only second time using it. It’s just stuck on loading screen. I can get updates of when my smoker gets to set temp, but I can’t get into app and do anything. Frustrating.
