Not as fun and easy as it should be
I had all kinds of trouble getting in and when I did it gave me warnings that my data wasn’t saved and it doesn’t save in real time like OneNote, I had it crash and the sentence I was typing was gone when I reloaded it. So far, I’m not enjoying it. I also don’t see Loop in the Share button on a Mac which makes it cumbersome to add content from other apps. One star for now as I’m going to stop using it for a year, will check back when it’s more mature.
Not a good mobile app keeps crashing
In office I love this app, remotely trying to take notes using this tool has been nothing but problems. No ability to cut/paste images or use features in your camera to identify slides/white board, just a flat camera image. App keeps crashing too
Buggy as heck
The first thing I wanted to do was create a table with some date objects.
Typing / and then the object you enter does not work. You have select the object from the menu item. But if you type / with any letters after it, it doesn’t work.
E.g. if you type “/date” and hitting enter does nothing. Typing / and clicking on “date” gives you a date item - but super slowly, it’s not quick and responsive.
Copying and pasting that date block turns it into text, not a date block so you can’t use it for a quick scheduling tool where you copy and paste rows in a table then update the date fields.
Very bad first impression from something so many people rave about. Maybe the desktop/web version will work better.
Login hurdles
Login should use MSFT Authenticator. Or at the very least, the login screen should be configured to use local password managers.
Using for 5 minutes and already upset
This is OneNote who try to go to the gym eating too many carrots … now need proteines.
Had a duplicate note.
Had rename appearing with empty value.
Very slow like OneNote.
New idea textbox way too small.
I don’t who is the audience for this app but with the large quantity of nice applications out there, a company like Microsoft should be able to produce something better than that.
Promising on desktop, just doesn’t work on iOS
I love the Notion approach, especially when you’re already all O365.
But the app. It’s a misery.
The caret seems to move back. I don’t know if it’s linked to sync, but as you type, the caret will move back to a previous position, mixing your words.
Sometimes the Return will stop working. Impossible to get a new line without quitting and launching the app again.
Promising. But gosh, it’s a painful experience right now.
