App doesn’t work

C&Rs on

United States

The app only works when my devices are connected to the same Wi-Fi network as my cameras. That is pretty useless in my opinion! I have tried it on three separate iPhones and one iPad. I get a ‘Connection timed out” message when I try to view the video. I can turn privacy mode on and off without a problem. I have a guest Wi-Fi network in my house and it doesn’t work from there. It doesn’t work when connected to Wi-Fi anywhere else either. It works on practically every web browser though. I can see it from work, which is on a very secure network. So it’s not a firewall issue. I can even tether my phone to my iMac at home and see the video. So it’s not a network issue with my 5G connection. It is the app.

Lazy code

873926639 on

United States

Update from earlier today: This app is like a dinosaur. 1) They don’t have a master switch to turn the cameras all on or off at the same time. We have to do it individually which can take time since their functioning is slow. 2) downloading any videos has to be done one at a time instead of being able to select a “download all” option they never put in. In fact they have a “select” option but the only function after you select is to delete the selected. It’s obvious the people who coded this app never actually used it. 3) if you record the videos on a chip, they don’t hold and the audio doesn’t work. If you pay for cloud recording, then everything is fine. It’s such a scam. 4) if you press the download button for videos, the app doesn’t tell you where it’s downloading and you can’t adjust it. I downloaded 1 video and 10 minutes later it appeared in my photos app. 5) some of the videos overlap. In other words instead of each one being completely different, there will be up to half the same video from the same camera. So watching them is a pain and significantly increases your data and time to watch.

Night vision useless

Dur durt ta dur on

United States

Never been able to use night vision with these cameras for anything useful. There is not way to turn off the cameras infrared light which causes to much reflection in a window. So it’s completely useless when trying to see outside of a window in the dark.

Property

GamerGirl😃🤔 on

United States

It keeps a eye on your property in your room especially when you live in a group home. It lets you know when someone or staff enters your room to search it with out you being there. Because you can take pictures and talk through the camera to let them know your watching them an tell them you can take pictures.
