So after contacting tech support twice i am told that there are no netgear specialists available to assist with my issue. The app has been working fine and now it tells me that the m5 is no longer a supported device i have only had the device 2 years and i dont fancy spending another £900 on the new M6-pro which is basically the same device. For the lack of mobile hotspot devices out there its very frustrating that netgear dont really care about customers or keeping products up to date and working for us. The app is great until it stops working and your are locked out.

Roaming data totals not included in totals

Why is roaming data not included in totals. Most mobile networks in Europe allow you to use your allowance abroad as long as you’re roaming in Europe so why not have the roaming usage included in data usage totals?

Will not connect to iPhone!

After purchasing this expensive router we have found it near impossible to connect it to our iPhones! When I say connect, I mean so I can access its features. All I get is “cannot connect to this router” very very annoying……

App design and layout is good but the app itself is very unstable. Locks up or crashes. Not a fan of netgear, not very customer centric, as you can see app not been updated in over 2 years.

The ui is fairly good for a mobile hotspot/router However the stability of the app is awful! I get locked out of the app where I cannot login via credentials and only way to fix is to uninstall and reinstall the app again, Also shame that the interface doesn’t include port forwarding. Definitely needs adding!! Priority stability of app kicking out and not able to log back in until uninstalled and reinstalled My device being used is an iPhone 13pro if this helps at all.

I cannot sign into app. After repeated time and calling help desk who not only didn’t fix problem went on to try and sell me network protection starting at nearly $500. Still no joy.

It needs a major makeover from colour to tilt to gui. Signal strength would be good for antenna alignment if that’s possible
