Nike Run Club: Running Coach

TWO of my personal records were not recorded on this app because of a glitch. I ran the most I had ever ran so I could look back at it and see my progress and be proud, but instead it didn’t save. It works sometimes if your not looking for anything serious but if you are, LOOK FOR A DIFFERENT APP!!!

I LOVE the nrc app. I recommend it to pretty much anyone who will listen. HOWEVER, this app frustrates me when I’m doing a training plan. After I complete one of the exercises (always on a treadmill- it’s just where I’m at in life) it doesn’t register that I ran anything. 90% of the time, I will still get the guided training during the run, but nearly 100% of the time it says I have done 0/5 of the weekly workouts completed. I wish there were a way to go on and manually check off that I completed a workout, within a workout plan. Additionally, for just basic guided runs, it would be cool if it kept track on your account if you had completed that run and, if so, provide the history of dates previously ran. Regardless of all this, I still love the app. Thank you for helping me run!

I love this app so much, but it’s made for beginners trying to become consistent. I wish the app allowed you to find other runners in your area. Or even follow different runners so your leaderboard isn’t only yourself (my friends dont run so I only see myself on there). The app pushes for no competition, unless you’re competing with yourself. Which I loved in the beginning journey of my runners phase. Running in a group motivates you much more to stay consistent, so if Nike can incorporate a section to find runners in your area and being able to chat with a few. I think the app would be a perfect 10/10.

Love it. Been using it for years abs I’m always reminded of how much running I missed out on.

I’ve been running with this app for years and have loved it. I just noticed however that beginning with the new year the run map disappeared. What happened to the map display after the run? Everyday I use it to track/review where I’ve been, pace, mileage breaks, elevation, temperature, etc. now it’s gone. What happened??

This app is grossly inaccurate and I recommend not downloading it (or deleting it) if you are serious about tracking your runs or improving your time. Once a week I use four running apps and my G-Shock to track my distance and run time to determine which apps are in sync, and this app consistently shows a much farther distance and faster pace. On average, a 5 mile run will show the same on everything else, but this app will show that I ran between 6.8 or 7.1 miles, making my pace 4 minutes faster than reality. I have tried deleting the app and redownloading it and that has not fixed the issue. I regularly run in the mountains of Jordan, the desert of Iraq, the inner city of Phoenix, and other locations I frequent, and despite the altitude or LOS to any satellites, the Nike Run App never fails to disappoint me. I almost failed a fitness test for employment because I was using the Nike Run App and running at the pace it showed. The morning of the fitness test, I used multiple apps and almost had a panic attack when my 6:45 pace from Nike was actually 9:35 pace with the other apps. I hope this app gets delisted from the App Store.

I’ve been using this app for 10 years now. I love having all my data over time. BUT one small thing - can we please make the share to Instagram story a 9:16 rectangle instead of a square? Feels like the social share options are outdated. Also they opened a Nike running studio near me. Please make those class treadmill workouts autosync with this app, that would be amazing!
