Notion Mobile is a native cross-platform app, meaning you can write anywhere on any device without requiring a constant Internet connection. Start your work on one device and finish it on another. Once you are happy with your creation you can share the Notion file, or export as MIDI, MusicXML, PDF or as an audio file.
Compose, edit, and play back your music performed with real piano and orchestral samples recorded by the London Symphony Orchestra at Abbey Road Studios — along with outstanding sampled guitar, bass, drums and other popular instruments. And when you’re ready for more sounds, you’ll find the extensive library of Notion Add-on Soundsets to purchase as part of the Feature Bundle. To save space, the initial app download contains just piano — you can then manage which of the bundled Soundsets to have on your device or keep in the cloud, just tap on Sound Installation.

Limited Functionality
This application looks and feels quite good, but it has a very severe limitation; It supports only two voices per stave, which limits notation severely for e.g. classical guitar, where it is common to have three or more simultaneous voices even in the simple pieces.
Also, it seems that there is no support for traditional (non blutooth) MIDI out, in case you want to control synths with this.
I suppose this is a pretty good app for what it is meant (orchestral compositions), but of limited use for another types of compositions.
I have to say, I am *very* disappointed with this limitation. Quite useless for me. Sad that there is no free trial for this, didn’t do enough research first. :(
As a side note, the icon for classical guitar is not of classical guitar, but steel string acoustic instead. Does not affect the functionality, but is visually very strange.
Could’ve been nice if...
...it hadn’t vanished unexpectedly 10+ times in 25 minutes.
Slurring had a life of its own - which also occasionally triggered the aforementioned sudden death.
To put it short: had it performed correctly, I’d been impressed. Had I paid more, I’d still be furious.
For serious work? To put it mildly: 😂😂😂😂😂😂
Purchased instruments
Purchased instruments giving no sound anymore. Restoring or deleting and downloading won’t help either even if I start Ipad again. Unusable for me and my older ipad.
Fantastic update makes it even greater
The latest update adds terrific and long-wished-for features such as document handling via the Files app, making it possible to organize your compositions any way you wish without excessive scrolling. But many more refinements have been made, for which many thanks.
My main wishes for the future would be the addition of more instruments, especially brush swirls and taps for cool jazz-style drum work with lots of control over the swirls, and an easier way to transpose quickly, since I need that feature on a near-daily basis. I have posted these wishes also on the PreSonus feature request forum, but I thought it couldn’t hurt to mention here as well.
Also, super important: If you could add solo female and male voices (simple aahs and oohs would be sufficient, but of course the more choices, the better), that would really be a huge help for song writing.

Pädillä on paljon näppärämpää nuotintaa kuin tietokoneella, kiitos kosketusnäytön, ja hommia helppo tehdä missä vain, joten työskentelytapana mahtava. Lisäksi pädiohjelmien hinnat paljon edullisemmat. Aivan kaikkia nuottikuvallisia tai teknisiä asioita ei Notionilla pysty toteuttamaan, joten ammattilaiselle Sibelius edelleen parempi. Mutta harrastajan näkökulmasta tämä on lyömätön. Ainoa kritiikki koskee lyriikoiden syöttöä, se on ohjelmalla työlästä.
Maltti on valttia
Hyvä monipuolinen ohjelma, tarjoaa ainakin omalla kohdallani kaiken tarvittavan. Onnistuu jos jonkinlaisen musiikin luominen, mutta teoriapuolen on oltava hallussa.
Käytön haastavuudesta pieni miinus; virhepainallukset paikoin liian pieniin kuvakkeisiin tekevät hommasta väliin raivostuttavaa näpertelyä, jossa kärsivällisyys testataan.
Rahoilleni sovellus oli vastinetta, mutta suosittelen ennemmin kokeneemmille, kuin vasta-alkajille. Toki tekemällä oppii...
